"My husband and I stayed here while visiting our son and his wife who live in Adams Morgan. It was a wonderful place to stay! The room was comfy & quiet, the staff friendly and helpful, the whole place clean and cozy. I had a better nights sleep here than most hotels in the DC area. Highly recommend!!"
"I really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it. I always prefer to stay in a neighborhood when I visit someplace (as opposed to a generic downtown hotel) and Highroad provided exactly the atmosphere I was looking for. I didn't stay in a dorm-style room so I can't comment on those, but my private room was clean, stylish, and had all of the amenities I would have expected from a more-expensive hotel. Access to a communal kitchen and luggage lockers also come in handy. The location felt very safe with plenty of dining and nightlife options right on your doorstep. The neighborhood skews a bit younger, but there were plenty of late-20s and up options within walking distance as well (e.g. Grand Duchess, The Green Zone, Jack Rose Dining Saloon). Good bus connectivity to Union Station via the 96 bus. If you wear a suit to work, I wouldn't recommend this hotel/hostel -- but for everyone else this is a great choice."
"I loved this hostel! It's beautiful and clean, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It exceeded my expectations because they have things like complimentary coffee, a washer and dryer, irons, etc., which are a plusThe location is great as it's surrounded by restaurants and barsA little far from the museums but still at a walkable distance or you can take the bus. I definitely recommend it!"
"Husband and I stayed in a queen room in the basement, we travelled on holiday from New Zealand. I cannot rave about this place enough. Quiet lovely room, I don't think I've ever slept better in a hotel, and I travel a lot for work and get put up in 5 star hotels but this was cosy and more what I feel comfortable in. It was homely, felt safe, amenities were everywhere and the staff were so friendly. The location was incredible. We were provided a list of recommendations on where to eat, it was all so tasty. What an awesome street, so welcoming and joyous."
