"Only stayed one night as a quick stop during a long road trip! The building is definitely older but they’ve done a great job at maintaining it! The staff were all so kind! They’re pet friendly and my pooch LOVED her stay as well!! Super quiet neighborhood but definitely worth the extra charge to have my car secured in the garage as added peace of mind that my vehicle and belongings were safe! Their snack market in the lobby was not nearly as overpriced as I’ve seen at other hotels which was really nice!"
"Decent, but somewhat dated rooms. The card key machine was broken so they weren't able to provide room keys for our entire stay. Had to be escorted by staff to get elevators to our floors and had to be let into our rooms our entire 3 night stay. This was particularly annoying as we were traveling as a large family so had three rooms over two different floors and going between the rooms required going to the lobby for staff assistance each time. Underground parking available for a nightly charge. Fantastic location is convenient to The Georgetown, Kalorama and American University neighborhoods of DC. Easy walk to nearby grocery. Coffee in rooms needs improvement and would be nice to have a tea kettle available. Breakfast food from the restaurant downstairs was not good."
"Great Location, safe neighbourhood. Rooms are big enough, clean and do their basic job of being comfortable. I was a bit taken aback when no water bottles were also kept in (even if chargeable). But the staff at the front desk is helpful and will give you a few at a cost. Housekeeping every 3rd day and no minibar."
"Perfect location for a trip to our nation's capital. The area is quite posh, safe, and residential. The hotel is very clean, spacious, and just a two minute walk to a bus station (#33) that takes you to the mall (White house, Smithsonian museums etc..). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is expensive, but we parked in a street nearby (Calvert St) for 3 full days with no issues. There are also a few restaurants and a Whole Food in the neighborhood."
"So here we are in Georgetown DC, on arrival it has a small parking area out front but park up and go and check in, it was super easy and a few minutes later we had a code for the parking garage and were parked up and headed for our room. The room was bright and airy and had views of the Washington Monument and the Capitol and surrounding places. The room was very comfy with coffee making facilities, a nice TV and a good bathroom. The closer had an ironing board and a great iron, not that I use an iron much but had to press some pants this time. Downstairs attached to the hotel is the Glover Park Grill, not part of the hotel, you can get breakfast here but were unable to charge to the room, this I thought strange, as it is attached, they should make allowances for people who would like to do that. The bar is well stocked and a choice of beers. We stayed for two nights. Would go back, the location is good."
