"I have lived here my whole life, I have seen ever permutation of the Tide Inn over the years. Here is all you need to know about the Tides Inn in 2023. Tonight (August 28, 2023) we went to Tides for Happy Hour. We ordered chicken wings for $12 and got three really sad wings. We all had one drink two other hors doevure, the bill was over $100. All you need to know about the Tides Inn is the place is a rip off. It has gotten way to big for its britches. The rooms are way over priced. The drinks and the food are the same, unless you are a bird. If you have to tell your friends you stayed in Goose Rocks then go ahead and over pay. Reality is, go stay some where else in Maine, many places hat are way better quality, and nicer experience for less. Tides Inn is not worth it in 2023. My response to the feedback that charging $18 for three chicken wings at happy hour is ok because it is Goose Rocks and there is no other place to go is this, that is baloney. You are part of the problem here at GRB. When did you first come here? 2015? I started coming to this beach in 1973. It was always a really sweet place. All Mainers, and visitors could come and enjoy. You are a robber, and that is all. Clearly you do not understand what happy hour is, or the simple fact that $18 for three wings is a crime (look up the cost of chicken wings). It doesn't matter how much you pay for your house, car or if you pay $500, $600/night to stay on Goose Rocks. We don't need to pay that to stay here and pay that, we live here and you need to be called out. Get yourself a real happy hour and we will come check it out. Look up happy hour in your hospitality services manual. You guys have played us (locals, natives, and smart consumers) for chumps for that last time unless you fix yourselves."
"Food and service were both great. My only complaint is that the bartender was squeezing grapefruits for a solid 2 hours while we were sitting at the bar. The juicer sounded like a dentists drill so was hard to bear. Suggest taking it out back or just buy fresh juice."
"Came here with my grandmother on a road trip and was originally greeted with a couple of issues—for one, the elevator was broken, and yet they still had my 70 year old grandmother walk up and down 4 flights of stairs to the TOP floor to get to our room. Second, we had an 8 pm reservation for dinner that night (booked weeks in advance) and we were not seated until 8:45 pm. The food was excellent, albeit very expensive, and we did not complain about our wait—the manager offered generously to comp us for our meal. Other than these two slip ups, our stay was wonderful. The room was cleaned daily and was very nice, stocked with its own coffee maker, and every morning free DELICIOUS homeade pastries and orange juice were delivered to the room by 8 am. Our room had a gorgeous seaside view of Goose Rocks Beach, and we’re about 15 minute drive out of Kennebunkport. The hotel offers free bicycles, water activities and shuttle service. You also have access to another resort about 1.5 miles away that has trails, a fitness center and two swimming pools. I would definitely reccomend the Tides for anyone interested staying at Goose Rocks or Kennebunkport."
"Have never stayed there but dine frequently. Casual elegance. Staff treats you great! Shout out to our waiter Richard last week!!! He was super. Btw my husband ordered the impossible burger and couldn’t believe it was plant based. Still talking about it."
"We were just visitors from Ohio passing through and did not stay at the resort. We parked in a municipal parking lot to walk this gorgeous beach, not realizing it was utilized by Tide Beach Club. It was such a beautiful, clean beach-- peaceful and unmolested."
