"Had a wonderful stay at Blue Heron Farm - Christina and Mason were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The property was extremely clean and peaceful while offering various outdoor activities to choose from. I celebrated my birthday and they even went out of their way to include candles in the farm to table desert and sang me happy birthday! Looking forward to coming back."
"Absolutely unique and amazing place with character and charm of the farm, run by generously good, funny and caring people. They put a smile on your face as soon as you arrive. We were looking for peaceful, clean, and quiet seclusion, but found so much more. The homemade food is delicious and picture perfect. We will definitely stay here again."
"Last night was our first time dining at Blue Heron and it was excellent. Beautifully restored barn, great service, warm and rustic environment. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Exceptional hosts, great service and an overall great night. A hidden gem."
"LOVELY! Our stay at Blue Heron was absolutely wonderful! The grounds & barn are stunning, & there are lots of sweet little areas set up to lounge & enjoy the serenity of the gardens & Nezinscot River (& all the rescue farm animals!). The breakfasts were delicious and their dedication to sourcing the ingredients, mostly from local farms, is a labor of love in itself. The hosts, Mason & Chris, are stellar! Every detail is thought of, accommodations are perfectly curated & spotless, great suggestions for things to do in the area were provided & the toasty fires in the barn on our crisp fall mornings were welcoming. You can spend all day enjoying the farm, or plan adventures to plenty of nearby towns, parks, & hikes. We cannot wait to get back!"
"Perfect is the only way to describe this little slice of heaven. From the tree lined street that you drive down, to the always big welcome from Mason and Chris, there is no relaxation spot i would rather go to. Mason and Chris have one of the most beautiful representations of fun, relaxing, and responsible Maine living that I have come across. The perfectly appointed bunkhouses make you feel as if you are sleeping in the great outdoors with all of the windows and amazing views. The barn where Mason and Chris serve dinner feels like a place you've always known, and loved while giving plenty of space to unwind and read a good book. The animals have become family favorites for our family, especially Marty the donkey. The food that Mason and Chris serve tops most of the food they serve in high end restaurants in Boston, with most of trappings coming from their own gardens or local sources. I promise you, you will not leave that dinner, breakfast, or lunch needing more food! Lastly, Mason and Chris are two of the most caring hosts a guest could ever hope for. Every detail is accounted for, from the super comfortable beds, to the hand made furniture that mason makes in the off season. There are no words in the English language to describe their generosity, and general caring attitudes for every guest that stays with them. I look forward to the two yearly trips my girlfriend and I take to Blue Heron, not just for the location, the downtime or the food, but more so to get a big hug from two of the most amazing people we have come to call friends."
