"I love the locale and the town. I've stayed in these cottages before and they needed help then, but were cozy. This time, #22 was a let down. Lots of things in this ol' gal needed attention. The whole place is getting renovated, but it takes time. The lodge rooms are nice! The folks who run it are cool, long-time locals and know their town. Never got a chance to get on the water this time (dang rain!) but they have free slip spaces and canoes. When the cottages are back on par, it'll be a 5 star place!"

"This is a friendly motel right on the shore of beautiful Rangeley Lake, with plenty of shore frontage to relax and enjoy yourself. Joe and Cheryl are always friendly and helpful, very customer oriented. Housekeeping does a nice job, too. I spent 3 days there with a friend and will be back there 3 more times this summer. Enjoy!"

"I'm about to book my fifth stay at Rangeley Town And Lake. I'm not terribly picky and just need a comfortable base camp for hiking kayaking and sightseeing around the area. I guess my favorite thing is that I just feel comfortable there, watching the ducks patrol the grounds, eagles swooping down and around, the sea place taking off and landing, the "through-hikers pausing one last time on the AT. It's not fancy and not expensive, though they do have fancy new suites I hear. Come, unplug, and enjoy a beautiful lake nestled in the mountains of Western Maine."
