"Great stop, whether it is your destination for camping, or (like us) you are low on gas on your way to Baxter State Park! Owners have built this place up over the past 18 years! Beautifully decorated, the food is pretty good, and the owners are really down to earth and friendly."
"Stopped here Monday while snowmobiling with my wife and daughter. Had lunch. Great people, very clean and one of the best mushroom, swiss cheeseburgs I've ever had. Will definitely be back!"
"The family is incredible as a whole! We have a camp on the lake, lucky us, and they have always been generous and caring neighbors. The food is homemade and the best around! Their cabins are beautiful and well kept. They now even have a yurt which is beautiful and unique. They made their own furniture as a personal touch. Check it out! You will book again and again!"
"I stopped by their booth at Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg Pa. Joe and Sue Christianson are two of the nicest and most informative people around. Their campground looks incredible. I'm really looking forward to getting up there in the near future. If someone is looking for a great hunting experience, I couldn't think of a better place to go."
"We had a spacious site right on the river with plenty of trees and sunshine. We enjoyed the short walk to the camp store where we tried their cheeseburger and breakfast sandwich on homemade bread. Delicious! Great place to base to hike or bike the north side of Woods and Waters. The east branch of the Penobscot is beautiful with lots of portages sites for dramatic scenery. The leaves were really starting to change and we were there for the first day of moose season. We loved meeting the resident dogs, too! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great stay!"
