"Highly recommend a truly wonderful experience. Very few places like this still exist in Maine or elsewhere."
"The camp, limited to just 9 cabins, is at the end of a 28 mile dirt logging road. A trip to town is a 100 mile round trip. Besides the usual benefits of a well run Maine fishing camp, we found the absence of electricity, internet, phone and media entirely refreshing. Don and Angel provide an exceptional experience. Not to mention that Angel serves a wicked good meal. If the above sounds like a good fit, we highly recommend this camp. If you simply have to be connected, or must have a range of entertainment or dining options, this is not a place for you. We plan to return for a longer stay in 2022."
"We had a great time at the camp. The owners were very welcoming and insightful, which was needed since this was our first Maine camp experience. No electricity and no cellphones was a blessing. . We were not fishing, and had thought to rent a boat for a day. Don told us he thought it unwise that morning because of winds. Instead, he and Angel took pains to map out hikes that were appropriate for our fitness and skill. One hike took us to the lookout on Nesuntabunt Mountain, where we could see the camp and white caps on the lake. Don was right, of course. . Meals were a highlight. We elected for the meal plan, and they were delicious. We were allowed to eat in the dining hall, since Coof restrictions had been lifted in Maine. We enjoyed that too. . Frankly, we very much enjoyed the simplicity of the experience. Watching it rain from the screened porch was wonderful. . I wish they were closer than a 5 hour flight and 6 hour drive, because we love to return."
"My wife and I needed a quick getaway so we opted for a weekend visit. It was our first time visiting Maine and easily one of the greatest times we have ever had. We spent the extra money for the full package and we were not disappointed. We will certainly be visiting again. The staff was great and beyond helpful. Food was plentiful and delicious. Just like momma used to make. The cabin was rustic and clean which added to the charm and ambience. Can’t wait until next time. Thank you both so much for a fantastic weekend!"
"Amazing! Beautiful wilderness camp with amenities that make you feel at home. Comfy, well maintained cabins with a lot of privacy. Beautiful dining room and great food if you choose to add the cost to your stay. Camp owners are awesome and helpful. This was our 3rd year there, this time for 10 days."
