"We had the nicest overnight visit at The Davenport this very cold weekend and would absolutely rebook next opportunity. The attention to detail is excellent- so beautifully decorated, quality linens and bed, beautiful artwork and books. We forgot a phone charger and our host was there within moments to lend us one. The location is perfect and walkable to everything. Parking was super convenient in back. We loved it and will certainly come back should we be so lucky to visit Portsmouth again."

"My partner and I live out west and visit family once or twice a year in Mass/NH. We like to pick a place to stay for a night or two to give the fam some breathing room. We chose The Davenport in Portsmouth this go around and we’re extremely satisfied. Worth every penny. The service was a breath of fresh air, super friendly and accommodating with our same day reservation. The room and hotel was so thoughtfully designed in preserving the historic simplicity and feel with tasteful touches of luxury throughout. The location is perfect. The home-baked cookies and banana bread were delicious. It was a splurge for us but would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend."

"My sisters and I had a WONDERFUL stay for our girls night. The staff were responsive and accommodating. The Inn is stunning, and is in the perfect location in Portsmouth. The room itself was extremely comfortable - including beds, etc. The hotel was recently renovated and they did such a nice job. Perfect place to stay for a weekend away to recharge. "The Davenport Inn was perfect place to stay for my wedding party! Each room was spotless and had a unique design that made each guests' experience feel special. The check in was seamless and the location was convenient for early morning coffee runs and evenings out in downtown Portsmouth. For future brides considering staying here -- the bridal suite was well equipped. It had hair dryers, steamers, numerous outlets, a large mirror, good lighting and comfortably fit my five bridesmaids, two moms + two hair stylists. Would recommend."

"We loved staying at The Davenport. The inn was so cute and located in a great area, near all of the downtown restaurants and shops. The rooms were well appointed with thoughtful details, a very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and all of the amenities we needed. Refreshments, waters, coffee, and beer with homemade treats were available daily and the owners, The Samonas, were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. We had such a lovely time and can’t wait to return and stay again at The Davenport on our next trip to Portsmouth."
