"Tenants are constantly threatened by maintenance and Crossroads Towing about parking. There is nothing in the lease that states the limitations on where you can park and not one sign prohibiting parking outside of a painted space. On parents weekend, the maintenance guy and tow truck driver demanded $175 cash from multiple parents who were parked on a 10' grass area adjacent to the fence in the back of the neighborhood. They should concentrate more on maintaining the buildings than tenants and family parking for short periods on site. Very interested to see how much of the cash went to the maintenance guy during parents weekend!!"
"Firstly I lived there for only 1 year , honestly if you want to be mentally peaceful this is not a good place for that! They made you pay a lot of money for nothing, you won't have access to the internet sometimes, no one will be there to answer your questions, the lady always replied : she don’t know about this or that( like I was supposed to find the answer myself)They charged me hundreds of dollars for damages that I didn't do and that they knew it was during a conflict between the two other roomates which messed up my Credit. They will not refund your deposit and will charge you other money for unnecessary things. mentally it's not a good place because they won't help you ,I couldn’t focus on school, kids were fighting, when I went to the office for help the lady told me to call 911 she couldn’t do nothing about it."
"living there was fine. we had problems with our dishwasher that maintenance never fixed. after moving out is when the real issues started. they try to charge you for damage you didn’t do. and when you have proof you didn’t damage it, they won’t accept it. they’re running a scam for college students. i tried getting in touch with the manager for an entire month and i ended up having to leave work early to go into the office to try and resolve my issue. an ENTIRE MONTH went by before i could get in touch with anyone. they’d say they were going to give me a call back and never would. i even tried to call their corporate offices, RPM living and i was put on hold for 25 minutes just to be hung up on. like i said before, they’re running a scam. one of my roommates moved out in between semesters, she was told she’d get her security deposit back within 45 days. she didn’t get it for 6 months. don’t fall for this scam, and don’t live here."
"Lived here for 2 years, first year the management and maintenance was decently responsive and reliable but this past year maintenance has been AWFUL! On over 5 different occasions we went without AC for days and even weeks in the hottest months of the year. Don’t expect anything to get fixed. Management has no clue what they’re talking about when it comes to maintenance and is evasive and even slightly disrespectful when you ask about getting things fixed. Management lied to me and my roommates giving us each a different reason why our AC wasn’t being fixed on more than one occasion. We had to take it to upper management and the university before anyone started to do anything (2 weeks later). Place would be nice if they had properly trained management, and maintenance that ACTUALLY fixes things and in a timely manner. Also rent is expensive and you will almost always “go over” your utilities (even with no working AC and just one person living in the apartment) so many hidden fees and if you question any of the fees be prepared for no response or an evasive one. Save yourself the stress and money and live literally anywhere else. I do want to note that right before moving out in June 2023 we met the new maintenance man who seemed knowledgeable and helpful… so maybe there is hope for the future."
"The gathering only marginally beats out commuting or living out of your car. There are better, more affordable options all over Salisbury that are not constantly trying to scam their tenants. The random roommate system is TERRIBLE, and the main office can be extremely unprofessional. Halfway through my first year, the main office staff swapped, and as a result started charging my unit pet rent randomly, which we had to fight to remove and were not reimbursed. The internet at the gathering is terrible, so terrible in fact that for the first year, none of my roommates could finish any homework while staying in the apartment without opening a hotspot. It never got better. Many of the issues we reported to the maintenance staff were never fixed or addressed, but I am sure we will be charged for them when we leave. The gathering is close to the university, roughly a 30-minute walk if you walk leisurely. EDIT: We are being charged for damages that we reported when we initially signed our leases."
