"It started out great when entering. I let them know that we have a service dog in training with us so we filled out the paperwork. What got interesting is the morning staff.... around 9am EST the cleaning staff was going around which I know that we didn't have the magnet on the door so I will take fault on that but then another staff member without knocking tried entering the room. I am sure there is a roster of some type showing which room is occupied. Upon that they kept passing the room and looking into the window like they were surveying the room. I ended up having to close the blinds. Cleanliness lets just say it was subpar when walking in it just reeks of cigarettes smell and then by the sink the wall was absolutely disgusting."
"Our mattresses were excessively noisy and were not supportive. They gave both of us the worst backache. I bumped my ankles against the metal support legs of the bedframe multiple times, and it was filthy underneath them. We had to walk around the room with socks on, or else the bottoms of our feet would turn black from the dirt. The bare floors need to be mopped, not just vacuumed or swept to remove all of the dirt. The toilet tissue dispenser was not anchored to the wall, and would become loose every time we tried to pull out a few sheets. The bathroom door kept scraping the edge of the toilet bowl everything it was opened or closed. There was supposed to be a hair dryer in our room, but wasn't. I wouldn't have made the reservation, had I known that there was no exercise room, which was advertised as being available. The breakfast room was a complete disaster area. I'm not blaming Edith, however, since she was the "short order cook", the server, and the hotel clerk, all wrapped into one. Our hot breakfast was not hot enough, the tater tots were mushy, not crispy, the bacon was overdone, and I would hardly refer to a single egg as an omlette. We did like the scrambled eggs and sausage, although it was a little salty. Until the coffeemaker broke down, the coffee was bold and smooth with no bitterness. The juice dispenser and one of the waffle makers were on the blink, too."
"We met Kim the GM during our stay at Best Western and she was very lovely and welcoming and gave us a lot of great advice for our stay in Ocean City and how to best navigate around the town and the parking situation. We loved our stay here as it was affordable, safe, clean, and had great breakfast. Would love to return!"
"What a great and affordable place to stay less than an hour away from Ocean City! I booked a room here for my parents visiting before the semester starts. The first room they received was on the second floor. Being elderly, the stairs were hard for them and a nice man working at the hotel offered to try and get them a room on the first floor. That man and the ladies working at the front desk deserve some recognition. Offering and executing that switch was such a nice thing to do. In my experience, the staff was friendly. Both rooms and the lobby were clean. The location is gated and secure. I'll recommend it to my family and friends going forward."
"- The pictures of the hotel on Google are not updated. - There is a gate around the parking lot and the hotel paint color is different. - The hotel lobby smells musty and had flies. - The area outside our room smelled of urine. - The room itself smelled of mold. - The fire alarm was beeping every few minutes because the battery needed to be replaced. - If the room is cleaned before each guest, how did they not hear that the alarm was beeping? - However, the Best Western customer relations team was amazing and helped my husband and I with the checkout and refund process."
