"It's been a dream of mines and my wife to move to Ocean City Maryland for last couple years. And even though we haven't been able to find a place so far in Ocean City Maryland. We came upon Oak Hill Townhomes in Salisbury Maryland we noticed that there was openings for units to move into. But unfortunately we were denied cause of our dogs who are well behaved. With 1 of the dogs being older 13 years old with cancer and a knee replacement and the other who is so loveable and such a sweet dog. But we turnt away cause of their breeds and health conditions. And it hurt us knowing we won't be able to move in."
"When we first moved in they refused to put my name on the lease, so we have been here since February. The staff put my name on the lease and now refuses to give me a copy of it!! Amy is extremely rude and ignorant at the main office. The managers at Oak Hill are lazy and do nothing at all to help the residents. They are sent work orders, but no one ever comes to fix anything. Oak Hill is Supposed to provide an exterminator every month, but can't keep one longer than 2 months at a time. The housing is over priced and we can't even grow grass in our back yard!! There have been constant break ins in cars,, the cameras apparently aren't worth anything.... I CANT WAIT TO MOVE!!"
"Great river view from my apartment. Quiet relaxing place. No complaints. Been here over 2 years. It's time to update my review as I just renewed my lease! I've been here 4 1/2 years now and hope for more years to come! Still no complaints. The view of the river is still great, I enjoy it every day. Shopping is very convenient, everything you could want is only a few minutes drive away. There is a short walk along the river with lots of wildlife to see and enjoy. For me it's a very relaxing place to live. The property is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. I've had very few maintenance problems and they were fixed the same day thanks to Gene and the rest of the maintenance staff. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for an apartment in Salisbury."
"April, when she worked here, was patient with people and genuinely cared about their needs. Nicole has since taken over her position, however. She moves drug addicts and other questionable people in. She WILL do anything to get money out of you. Folks drag their feet when it comes to fixing things. She is rude, doesn't know how to treat people, and very quick to try and evict you. The apartments are nice as long as YOU keep them nice! But not worth what they charge. And she will find something to charge you for."
"When I first moved in I could really feel that the former manager, April, truly cared about me and my son. Since then, Nicole has filled her shoes, and she genuinely cares about the residents' quality of life too. No question or concern is too small. When we upgraded to a 2 bedroom, she was right there guiding me through the process. She is so supportive! The life guard, Evan, has been here for years and is such a great guy. And I definitely need to give the maintenance man, Gene, recognition where it is due. I had a tough time with maintenance requests at first. When I talked to Gene about it he took accountability and ownership and provided me with his phone number. He told me if there was anything I ever needed, just call in the request with the office and then call him to make him aware of the issue. He has come through for us each and every time. On occasion, they also throw pool parties, morning donuts, popcorn parties, pizza parties, ice cream socials, etc. for the Oak Hill residents to encourage engagement. These may not all be the newest units with all of the bells and whistles (note: they DO have upgraded units), but they are the best price around. I really feel a sense of community here, and Oak Hill is a great place to call home! Other than the operations and staff, I have an amazing view of the Wicomico River from my Dining room, living room, and balcony. There is also a mating pair of bald eagles that sit in a maple tree on the riverbank behind my apartment. They are harder to see in the summer because of the leaves, but in the winter are very easy to spot. What a view! Pinehurst elementary school is a great school too! My son's 2nd grade teacher almost got teacher of the year last year. She was great and went above and beyond for us. The 2nd & 3rd grade teams are among the best in the entire county. Working parents: Pinehurst also offers before and aftercare from the Wicomico county recreation and parks, and have several after school programs (including Cub Scout's, MAST, and Lego League!). I like to take walks and play pokemon go with my son (he has caught a lot of cool pokemon here haha). We love the pool too, and most of the time it is never too crowded, my son has totally perfected snorkeling. We often walk to the free Camden Community garden behind St. Francis and pick all sorts of yummy fruits and veggies- residents have got to check that out. Another perk is that we are only a stones throw from Rise Up coffee drive thru, which everyone knows is simply the best. The Acorn Market is very close by now also. My husband and I can walk to Brew River, Market Street Inn, Roadie Joe's or Mojo's on our date nights and not worry about designated drivers or calling cabs. We walk to the new year's party downtown, and we can walk to the third Friday festivals downtown every month, and to the Riverside Carnival every at the St. Francis parking lot every year, too with out the hassle of finding parking. My son also loves watching the shipyard across the river, and really enjoys exploring and fishing along the riverbeds at low tide. We have found old glass bottles intact, buoys and great big ship mooring rope. We decorated our balcony with the buoys. We totally love it here, and we would encourage anyone to move in."
