Atlantic Oceanside Dewey 1700 Coastal Highway, Dewey Beach, DE 19971

"Recently renovated (floors, furniture, TV, bathroom vanity) so rooms are refreshed and pretty clean for what was listed as a 1 star motel. There's still some wear showing in the rooms, bathroom, doors, and exterior. And the bedspreads aren't changed between guests, even though pets stay too. But the proximity to the beach and center of town can't be beat! Restaurants, bars, and shops are steps away! The staff is engaging, friendly, and helpful! Beds are clearly new and very comfy! And we could bring our dog!!! $30 per night extra for our dog (reasonable), and everyone else was also being very respectful pet owners --we all recognize what a privilege it is to have a clean place, close to attractions, that is affordable. We also loved going downstairs to the on site coffee shop every morning. Coffee, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, some pastries (all made fresh) and you can take your food up to the two rooftop decks to eat."

"My wife and I have stayed there many many times whether we were down there together or my wife was down with the kids over the last 32 years. I was very disappointed in this place today when I called to make a reservation and they do not offer a VA discount. It has become one of these places that talk a good talk but don't walk the walk. I recommend to all my fellow veterans to check other local motels because they offer VA discount where Atlantic Oceanside does not. I personally will not do business with them ever again because of this."

"I love Dewey Beach. I like that it is a small beach town without a huge boardwalk. But with the option to visit the boardwalk using the trolley system. I also like that no matter where you're staying on Dewey, you will not have a far walk to the beach. "This hotel is very close to all of the downtown" action of Dewey. Consequently, it can be a little bit louder in the evenings. At most staying at this hotel you will be a 4 minute walk to the ocean. This is definitely a beach motel. The rooms aren't that great but lots of renovations are taking place. This hotel along with beach house Dewey make up the new city block hotels. They are conveniently located to all the nearby restaurants. Not even a block away. The beaches in Dewey have lifeguards during the season and trash and recycling containers. Great for families and those who want a little less crowded space."

"This was a nice place with super friendly staff. The pool was nice. There is a little coffee shop kind of attached that had good ice cream. The town felt nice and safe. Short walk to the beach which was also nice. Rooms were clean."

"Staff was fabulous! Very friendly, fun, personable and accommodating. Dewey is just not what I am used to. There isn’t much to offer. It is definitely the party town, which isn’t for me. When booking the hotel (through a 3rd party) I chose beachfront/oceanfront so I expected to walk right out on the beach. My mother-in-law was with us who walks with a cane and so we needed to limit walking. They were gracious to give us a room on the first floor which was appreciated and helpful and my daughter and I were able to get her down on the beach one day out of our 4 day stay. Just not the accommodations I am used to but it worked for our short beach getaway. In the future, we will stay in Rehoboth or Ocean City"
