Canalside Inn 34 6th Street, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

"First and foremost, the Canalside Inn welcomes dogs, providing little pet amenities in the room! That is hard to find in the Rehoboth hotel/inn choices. Its location across from the main canal in a residential neighborhood behind makes for a quiet scenic location. And it is an easy walk, less than a mile, into the main street shops & restaurants area downtown. This particular January stay was very off-season (we were the only ones there!) with lots of snow but our golden retriever loved it! It is not a big place in terms of rooms which is also nice. And it has a nice downstairs guest kitchen/den like area to hang out in. All other pet-friendly options are miles away on the main highway. The Inn does not have your conventional front desk and onsite staff as other places might so if you require this just take note. As this was winter, perhaps it is different in the summer months. That being said, offsite staff are a call away and responsive. Also note that it is a stairs only access to second floor rooms if that is an issue. Also the bathroom in our king executive room was small. But if you want to bring your dog to a Rehoboth beach stay - it's the Canalside Inn !"

"Perfect location. Staff so very accommodating for my senior pup. Thanks for all your help. We appreciate your kindness for my old girl. All guests were so wonderful obviously animal lovers too.. only issue I had unknowingly was hardwood floors too slick for my senior pup ….but we managed with blankets and towels and staff assistance."

"We had a terrific stay the Canalside Inn this weekend with our puppy! We really enjoyed the location of the inn, convenience, and flexibility with animals! Overall it was incredibly clean and the amenities were great! Aesthetically, I think the rooms could use some work. It would’ve been nice to have real lamps (rather than the glow lights with the remote). It would also have been great to have a backboard on the bed. It also would have been nice to have someplace to sit in the room aside from the bed. The chairs worked, but were not very comfortable. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and will be back in the near future!! Thank you to the staff for everything :)"

"We booked this specifically because it was dog friendly. We were delighted that they accepted 2 dogs. Check in/ out was very easy and convenient. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a very short walk to the beach and all of the food and restaurants( egg is almost in the backyard). I left behind some books in the room after checkout and the owners were super helpful in getting them back to me. Not sure if our dogs liked the beach but they loved the room and walking next to the canal. We would definitely stay here again even if they choose to stay at home."
