"Location can’t be beat! Stayed at this hotel many times, and never had a bad experience. Always encountered friendly staff. Location is fantastic - north end of the boardwalk where it is less crowded. The beach is located a brief walk (maybe two minutes) from the lobby, through a covered paver path that opens to the boardwalk & beach. Short walk to Rehoboth Ave where all shops & eateries are located. Rooms are average - nothing amazing, but I’m spending my time at the beach! The oceanfront suites are great, but I usually just reserve a standard room… again, at the beach! Covered parking available… can be tight but I’ve always been able to grab a space. Recently attended a company event at Salero, the venue on the top floor, and holy gorgeous views!!!!! Dance floor, bar, delicious food (especially desserts!) and best of all could take the elevator right to my room. I’m a fan, and will never stay anywhere else when I visit Rehoboth! Definitely recommend!!!"
"We stayed here for a wedding that was upstairs. We learned that this end of the boardwalk is residential and very quiet. There isn’t any entertainment around here. But the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. And our room had a cute balcony! The elevators were fast and they had decent parking in their garage. Also the soap and shampoo is coconut scented and I thought that was so nice"
"Right on the boardwalk! I have stayed here once last year in a queen suite ocean view and this year king oceanfront room. The rooms are pretty basic and very clean. Balconies are nice and location is amazing. It’s the last hotel on the boardwalk and steps to the beach. A little further for food but I like it because it’s quiet and I get my exercise in. The king oceanfront room had a bathtub with shower and also had a walk in shower. Staff is always so friendly. I have never had any issues. Price is very fair. Only con I can think of is that there isn’t a pool. I like being in the ocean all day, so this doesn’t bother me. For the price and cleanliness, you can’t beat it!"
"We stayed at the Henlopen for two nights during a family trip. The location can't be beat -- we were right on the beach, which was fantastic! We could walk to restaurants, boardwalk fun, and shops easily. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room had a small fridge and plenty of room to hang up clothes. There is a small parking garage, but it can fill up. There is metered parking next to the hotel, but it's $3/hour. Parking can be a little challenging if you have a larger vehicle."
"I gave this hotel three stars for being average. I’ll break down the pros and cons. I don’t think I would stay here again based on our experience. Pros The view and proximity to the ocean is fantastic. You are 100’ from the beach. Can’t get much closer than that. The staff was friendly and courteous. Couldn’t ask for a better team. Cleaning staff was excellent. Our room was clean and fresh every time we came back from being on the beach. Cons The location in Rehoboth is far away from the stores on the boardwalk. If you want to grab a snack or bite to eat, be prepared to walk a good distance. There aren’t any amenities. Pool, fitness room, snack bar……not happening. Maybe the worst thing about this hotel and it wasn’t even close. The bed is like sleeping on the floor. The pillows were thin like a school book. The blanket was light and thin. We had to go buy pillows and a blanket just to sleep at night. The first night was terrible. We tossed and turned all night. We were booked from Monday to Friday. Our backs were so jacked up from this bed that we decided to leave Thursday night rather than sleep another night on this bed. Overall it served its purpose. We had a hotel on the boardwalk and enjoyed our time at the beach. Next time I’ll spend the extra money and go with something with better creature comforts."
