Residence Inn by Marriott Hartford Rocky Hill

"If I could give this place zero stars I would. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. The staff have been nothing but rude to me, I’ve voiced my concerns based upon my experience at this place and all I’ve gotten in return is unprofessional workers who have hung up in my face or unreturned phone calls after my numerous amounts of voicemails. This is absolutely the worst hotel I have been to and wouldn’t recommend. There’s roaches in the room cabinets and dirty bathrooms that hasn’t been cleaned before you check in. It’s disgusting."

"This is really a 1 star hotel. If you want good customer service and a clean room don’t stay here. There are multiple times the maids have not cleaned the rooms. We were even told that all they are required to do is change towels and garbage. The maid told me if I wanted the plastic kitchen floor cleaned I needed to do it myself but wouldn’t give me the supplies. The maids are rude the assistant managers don’t respond. I can’t believe that this is a Marriott property. The property says it was remodeled but the tub was either not changed or it is so cheap it is worn out already. The grill does not work so don’t expect to be able to cook on it. You will get powdered eggs and juice. And don’t expect coffee without asking for the staff to refill."

"We had an issue with our vehicle. While waiting for roadside assistance, an employee offered help. We were back on the road in no time. We are very grateful for the kindness."

"Well maintained Residence Inn! Upgraded me without me asking and the property is well taken care of. There were crumbs on the desk in my room but aside from that everything else was fine."

"When will 0 stars be available? Never give this location our business again. Terrible management jay jay and Ty Coleman don’t do their jobs. The 1st time I met them, they were busy belittling one of the employees in front of everybody. Jay jay is absolutely rude and impolite. They don’t know what their titles mean in regards of dealing with customers/ coworkers and employees. Before reservation, we had 3 different locations to choose from so we called rocky hill to ask if they got oven in their rooms. The lady answered with ‘yes we have ovens in our studios one bedrooms and two bedrooms, please make your reservation now and will make sure we put you in one with oven’ I thanked her and hung up. Also, The company who did our reservation called to confirm the room with oven and then we arrive to one bedroom that has TWO burners stove, REALLY???? We talked to the front desk and management on site. They say ‘nothing we can do, you can just call it training issues with some of our employees but we can downgrade you to a studio’ My question is how are you gonna put 4 people in a studio? Managers need to be re-evaluated for the positions they have. Again, they have no customer service whatsoever and they need to learn basic communication skills to be handling regular conversations with other human beings whether it is a customer or a cleaning person. Now Marriott, if customers were asking for special accommodations and you told them yes we have what you’re asking for then you should honor that in order to continue be in business. Prior to our stay here, we stayed at residence inn by Marriott in Shelton and they went above and beyond with everything from the smile they always have on their face to make us comfortable with our stay. Regret every minute here in Rocky hill and the people we met at this location."
