"As a long-time Bally enthusiast, I am dismayed to be writing this bad review, not about their products, but about the appalling service at their Chadstone store. I bought a pair of shoes as a gift for my partner from the Collins St store, which ended up being the wrong size. My partner went to the Collins St store on the last day it was eligible for a return (25 June), however the store did not have the size she wanted. They looked up their system and said Chadstone had her size available. Since it was the last day and impossible for us to get to Chadstone the same day on time, she asked if they would give a refund since we would be missing the return window. Instead they avoided her request and insisted a late exchange would be possible, directed her to the Chadstone branch, and continually reassured her they would notify the store to accommodate the exchange, EVEN A FEW DAYS past the 14-day return policy. However that was not what happened when I took time out of my work day to visit Chadstone THE VERY NEXT DAY on June 26, 2023. The moment the staff saw my intent to do an exchange, her demeanour became unfriendly. She demanded to see my receipt and then called the manager in, who laughed condescendingly because I was a day late. I explained what the Collins St store had told me while they acted like I was some lowly criminal. Then they suggested that the shoes had been worn and thus not eligible for a return. The whole incident wasn't even just poor service, it was an attempt to humiliate and alienate me as a customer just because I needed to do a return. Never in my adult life have I experienced such condescending behaviour from store personnel. While Bally's products had held appeal for me in the past, the nasty behaviour from their staff means I’ll never return to their stores again. Their staff’s behaviour overshadows the quality of the products. There are plenty of other stores that value their customers and offer exceptional products. I won't be visiting either Bally store again and I strongly advise anyone to consider other options. Don't give their staff the satisfaction of treating you like dirt when you need to do an exchange!"

"Terrible shopping experience. The male in here needs training on how to approach customers and assess their needs before recommending things that don’t work! I had to repeat myself 3 times and he shrugged his shoulders and had a blank look on his face. I was trying to purchase a gift which was a new arrival not in stock. Would not give me relevant options that would suit me, for example: constantly telling me to buy online despite me already saying that I need the gift by tomorrow. Failed to give me other store stock lists or phone numbers, as well, proceeded to tell me the airport store is not part of their retail grouping. I left frustrated and baffled by how someone could be so clueless. Off to Collins street today instead."
