“Best experience I've ever had at a dentist by a long shot. Rachel is amazing and has an impeccable bedside manner and fantastic attitude. I've had three appointments there for fillings and she talked me through everything she was doing and took great care to ensure I was comfortable the whole time. She's always bubbly, caring, and empathetic. The reception staff are also very friendly, communicative, and accomodating with appointment scheduling. They're also literally next door to Medibank and are an approved partner, so if your insurance is with MBP and you need to work out costs you couldn't ask for better convenience. I cannot rate them highly enough!”

“I have been seeing Dr Duran Stander for a few years, starting with completing all my required fillings and now just regular cleans and check-ups. He is brilliant at explaining any processes regarding dental health, it is really fascinating to learn about why decay occurs, how, where fillings are most likely, etc. Since seeing Dr Stander regularly, I have been lucky to not require any more fillings, but he is always on the go to remind of places where cavities are likely to pop up and to keep an eye out on them, and offering options for troublesome teeth. Reception at this practice is always very welcoming and absolutely lovely, and they always have a nice oil diffuser in the background making the place smell amazing and very relaxing, inviting atmopshere :) Sad to be leaving town - great dentist practice! Highly recommend”

“I don't often give 5 stars but I have to say the two Smithfield spec saver staff who looked after me last weekend - really deserve 5 stars. Firstly the optometrist Teng was wonderful. I have never had a more informative and thorough examination of my eyes in all the years I have had glasses, he truly was wonderful and a very gentle soul as well. I have a condition called graves disease and he was so helpful explaining things my eyes are doing that even my specialist hadn't mentioned. Then I had Ronny, a lovely and very helpful young lady who took the time to help me choose my 3 pair of glasses. As I can't see properly without glasses - trying on frames becomes quite difficult- she was so patient and so helpful. I would recommend that you see both these people as they both gave outstanding service 5 stars doesnt really seem enough more like 10 stars for both of them.”

“Shelly played a huge part in my positive unmedicated natural birth! If you have any pain while pregnant and think it’s “normal pregnant stuff” please read my review (+ short birth story). First session with Shelly we did an external pelvic alignment because I had this ongoing pain on my ciatica that kept me limping for about 3 weeks. I could barely get off bed without groaning. I thought to myself “this is just normal pregnant stuff, right?”. Wrong! After only one session of release work with Shelly I could walk normally again and I even joked with her I could go for a run. That pain did not return. After the really positive improvements with the external work, I decided to go back for *internal pelvic work* And this is what I hope all expecting moms will get to know and try. It’s a beautiful work Shelly does and I really think the main reason for my positive unmedicated birth. Shelly explains to you all the ligaments and muscles and looks for what’s really going on there…. Where the tension is and what you need to do to release it. She guides you through it, but *you do the release work*! More importantly, you get to feel and understand the path the baby will make. This is really special for first time moms!! It gave me so much confidence to know all that. My last two sessions with Shelly were the most incredible ones. I had contractions for 3 days but nothing was improving enough to get me into active labor. I asked Shelly to come to my place for some more release work. I was 41+5. I had no idea how much release I had to do (emotionally, mentally, physically) and I feel so blessed and grateful that Shelly was there for me. My birth story was challenging and amazing at the same time. Challenging because pre labor was long and it really got me exhausted before I even got to active labor but beautiful because my girl was beautifully positioned and ready to come out, just waiting for her mama to be ready. I stayed strong and did not go for any intervention. I cannot tell you when I was in transition because it all kind of felt the same for me. Pushing was pretty easy and quick. I could feel my baby moving down and out and I had control of the pushing. My baby girl was born 41+6 and super healthy. Now I hope I can help spread Shelly’s work so that more expecting mamas get to know her work and have more positive birth stories like mine. Every mama has their own release to do and Shelly knows how to guide you through that beautifully (whatever it is that you’re going through). Thank you Shelly for being part of Lilah’s birth story. “A very good & welcoming Medical Centre, with a large number of varied skilled Drs on staff, along with practice nurses. Welcoming & helpful reception staff - appointments are essential....quite recently (Nov 2022) the mulri-practice centre became private, & no longer bulk-bills patients unless they have health care or similar cards. This busy & well-staffed multiple Dr pralctice is very highly recommended - although drop-in may be available, appointments are pretty much essential here.”

“Absolute 5 star doctors, Thanks to Dr Mark and Dr Digby for being caring and informative and taking the time to sort out an eye problem for me on a very busy Saturday morning. They work under very stressful conditions and yet everyone i met on this Saturday morning went about their chosen jobs in a very professional way, Yes you may have to wait but thats how it works in an emergency department whilst people needing the immeadiate attention get it and those with less priority get treated when the Dr is available. “Headspace is a fantastic organisation doing fantastic work for young people, although there is a wait list for counselling there are many social groups you can jump straight in to and headspace offers a plethora of online support options. Can not say enough about how wonderful headspace is and how grateful I am to headspace as a whole organisation and to the cairns team in particular ❤️”
