“Visited on a clearly busy Saturday, but had lovely service, received food and drink in under 15 mins of ordering. Had a delicious hot choc, coffee was fab. The man making coffee was fun to watch! He was clearly experienced and was very skilled. The food was delicious- had a Eggs Royale that was a good size and really nice. Staff were professional and sweet. Really recommend !”

“Almost went past it because it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a lovely, cozy place. Staff is very friendly, the coffee is delicious, also the chai latte. The bread is extra tasty and not the spongy kind of bread that is so common everywhere else - super good sourdough bread - tastes like @ home. Cinnamon buns and croissants were excellent too. Thanks so much for the good time! Will come again if ever I'm back in Worthing!”

“Top pub! Great (and reasonably priced!) drinks for any taste, a fantastic atmosphere and the staff are all wonderful. Leo in particular is always a pleasure to be served by, super friendly and a great laugh. The Great Eastern easily became one of my favourite pubs in Brighton and I couldn't recommend it enough!”

“Love this place. Ideal stop whilst in the area. Nice English pub feel combined with German authenticity. Small and local feel, board games in the corner, but with the added 'oomf' of German lagers on tap and pleasant seating area on the street if the weather suits. See you again soon.”

Very welcoming and friendly would definitely recommend, such a lovely vibe. Food was good, we all had full English breakfast x 2 tea, 1 x latte and 2 soft drinks.”
