The Food is Five Star The Portions Fair Prices very resnoble & far better than ny Chinese takeaway bar over charging for rice based dishes!. On this occasion I really enjoyed the prawns in lemon butter and pizza bread on this visit. Tirimasu was good too Can also recommend the chicken and scolllop crepes. “WOW!! We came here for bottomless brunch for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely devine, the aperol spritz were flowing and the service was second to none! All the staff were so friendly and VERY attentive, always offering to top up our drinks. It’s quite hard to find good service around these days but Elmo’s staff were a 10/10! Highly recommend! “Absolutely awesome robata-yaki bar in the heart of Freemans Bay with some of the best Japanese food in Auckland. It’s best to share and choose a number of dishes. Ordering is by iPad and the dishes are normally delivered pretty quickly except when things get really busy. It’s best to book by phone in advance. And ask to be seated at the bar counter so that you can watch the food being prepared.”

“Lovely Japanese atmosphere with absolutely delicious food. The chefs greet you as you walk past the kitchen which adds that extra touch. Food was cooked pretty quickly. Loved the interior of the restaurant which gave off a very authentic vibe. Price was really good for the quality. If you're planning to take your family then maybe book to be on the safe side. “Visited this local tonight for the first time and I have to say, we were very impressed. The food was delicious and portion sizes were great. Cannot fault Faridas at all. Was particularly impressed that they catered for vegans and were more than willing to adjust dishes to meet my vegan daughters requirements. They even had dairy free cheese. The veggie dishes seemed to make the vego happy too (the trick for me for finding if a place is good is if the veggie dishes are good. It means they care about good food)”

Love the steak, bacon and cheese pie, all the others I have tried have also been top notch, beautiful flakey pastry with a tonne of yummy filling, never disappoints. Was very impressed with the burgers when we tried them, something for everyone! Staff are really friendly and great vibe. Highly recommend if you are in the area, and worth the travel if you aren’t!”
