“Been coming here since 10 years ago since I arrived here in New Zealand. I used to walk from home, come here. Enjoy my day off from pushing trolleys at the supermarket. And enjoy to eat their sushi. The quality of this sushi shop never goes down. Owner greets you when you came and thanks you when you left. They even better than the franchised competitors. Their sushi is tastier. I can't imagine Railside rd. Without Ko&Ki sushi. Thank you for great sushi experience whenever i come.”

“These guys are a hidden gem. Very friendly, in the evening they make your sushi while you wait. They are flexible with want you want in your sushi and the prices are better than the bigger brands like St P's. Their shop is small but vibrant. You can eat in which I did, but many of their customers take away. Everyone who came in was greeted warmly. We will visit again.”

Highly recommend eating here for top quality food and service, but be prepared to wait at mealtimes as its popular!”

“We had an evening farewell party on Wednesday 30 November 2022. We had never previously bought anything from the Sushi Factory but thought of giving it a try with a Party Platter B. The ordering was easy and the friendly staff helped us to make another, better choice. Very friendly service and the platter had a beautiful presentation. That evening everybody loved the Sushi, fresh and appetizing! Needless to say, the platter was finished, despite there being many other finger foods available. Our "first-buy" risk with Sushi Factory was a great success. We will buy there again - and highly recommend their sushi platters.”

“No booking, seated 3 on entry. Your seated next to a train that carries entree sized servings of sushi, donburi, seafood, dim sims etc plus desserts, cream puffs, tiramisu, mouse etc. Continuous train. Simply grab the dishes you desire while seated and eat! Plates are color coded, these are how they tally up the total cost. Drinks list, soft drinks, red, white, beers, nothing extra. 3 people plus drinks ate till full, took home a fav each, $80.”

“I ordered udon prawn (#5) and a prepackaged assorted sushi rolls. Udon tasted great so I went ahead and ordered the chicken kashi udon as well. Spicy and good. Again, food was ready within minutes. Very convenient for travelers wanting to eat something good in a hurry to get back to sightseeing. The location is also excellent. Right next to the St Patrick Cathedral, which also deserves a visit. The Auckland Tower is within minutes of walking. We walked about 10 minutes from the Luggage Hotel just off the cruise ship. Good food and location are the reasons for giving 5 stars. The owner was there when I ordered the second udon and he was very personable with great customer service. When he was not present, the two Asian girls who work there really need training on customer service. The two girls have their heads down making packaged food while the "new" employee was struggling a bit taking orders. Another customer was standing at the counter and was left there standing (for a short time) and again "ignored" by the two girls. I get that the two girls are keeping their hands clean packaging food and thus cannot ring you up but all they have to say is something like, "Hi, we will be right with you", to acknowledge the customer. I personally am used to Asian restaurants where you have to raise your hand and "holler" to get the server's atrention and this, I was told, is completely acceptable. But IF the owner can encourage the staff to make small chit-chat, smile and SAY HELLO to acknowledge the customer whrn they come into their business, i believe more people would give 5 stars.”

The owner is just so friendly and welcoming - always greeting with huge smile, so happy to serve. The eatery is clean, open and tidy with a very relaxing vibe. Price compares well with other sushi shops AKL wide.”
