“Definitely the best (and most beautiful) sushi I ever had. If you have a few minutes you should eat in the seating are which is located upstairs in a business lounge with a glass front facing the harbour. The prices start at 1,50$ for the basic ones and they also have other options than sushi (e.g. Edamame, seaweed salad etc.) Totally recommendable!”

“I've lived in Browns Bay for a number of years and somehow never tried Buon Venuti until today. I will definitely be coming back! My wife and I had a standard sized pizza to share as a starter, which was the perfect size and delicious. Mains came shortly after and really hit the spot. Staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cute and cozy. Portion sizes were more than enough for us. Only snapped a pic of the Special Pizza and Banana Delizio.”

“I ordered the pizza caprese with chilli flakes and my friend ordered a garlic bread! The pizza caprese is essentially a Margherita pizza with fresh mozerella, basil leaves and olive oil! I’ve had Margherita’s at a lot of places but Gina’s has to be the best I’ve had! It’s incredible how much flavour was packed into such a simple pizza (I think the chilli flakes also played its part). Definitely rate 10/10! On other hand, the garlic bread was so unique, I have never had anything like it before. The garlic bread was essentially wood fired bread with dried herbs and garlic. It was exceptional, it was not oily or saucy as you would expect your average garlic bread to be. It was crunchy and had just the right amount of oil to not leave the bread so dry in your mouth. But… the best part is when you take a bite and the flavours explode in your mouth. 10/10! Will definitely be ordering again! Super cheap compared to other shops but is also generally reasonably priced!”

“Nice setting and as usual great food selection to be had. I tried the alcohol free pinacalada which was excellent. #Update#:11-3-23 can you please do something about the rude woman at front counter she is incredibly uninviting and doesnt do justice to the excellent service we have experienced in the past.I did raise my concerns with her about the poor service ( long time to get meals and her attitude) as we were the only one's there only to be laughed out the door I would give one star for this occasion but won't change on review because it wont give justice to the other great occasions.”

“Best falafels ever... My veg Kebab was super. Daaku kebab team was proud of what they were servicing and told us the details of such super nice falafels. I had heard from several people that is the best Kebab, my experience confirmed that yes, it's the best place to go for economical, quick, filing food. Best part is that it's open upto 4:00 am.. wow.”

“Great understanding of coeliac and GF. Food was great, especially the fried chicken. This is hard to find GF so was great to see they had a dedicated GF frier. Staff were friendly, also had a cool service button on the table. Only downside is it's a bit noisy right beside the main road.”

“Wow what an amazing food experience! I'm in a current state of food coma! we had Buffalo wings, sliders, mac n cheese bites, chicken, pork ribs and loaded fries. can't fault any of it, the meats were well seasoned, spiced, rubbed and slow smoked in the pit, even the loaded fries were the best I've ever had. staff were super friendly and showed me the smoker and the chef was on hand to answer my questions. Can't wait to recover from my coma and go back for more!”

“I only had a piece of fish and some chips. As long as you like salt, which I do, it was fantastic. The fish batter was perfect. The fish was standard tarakihi (i think) and tasted fresh enough. The chips were delightfully fried in clean oil.”

“Ordered the Sashimi of Japan special Bento Box which contained Sashimi, eel on rice, and sukiyaki. All of the items were delicious, was especially impressed by the Sashimi as it was very fresh with tuna and salmon and the other fish had a well balanced sweet and fishy flavour which I've never experienced before. There is also free miso soup which is great! A little on the pricer side (38$) but this is one of the best tastes on dominion road/Auckland, glad I tried this and will be back!”

“Lovely local Japanese restaurant in Howick. Lots of parking nearby. Best to book ahead. Excellent atmosphere and outdoor seating has a gas fire to keep you warm. Food is delicious and plenty of choices. Definitely need an entree with the main. Attention: The main entrance door "Slides" to the side (Maybe a sign could be helpful)”

“We chose The Middle because we heard the pizzas were awesome, but once here my husband was swayed by the Malaysian Beef Curry which by far has to be the tastiest curry I have had in the Auckland area! I had the Trigg Pizza which was really tasty and light and a good kids menu Too. Great wine list. Definitely recommend, funky setting with very friendly staff.”

“Had a 30 min bus "layover" at Smales Farm and luckily enough this shop was still open to give me another takeaway option to Shake Out (which is great too mind you). Anyways, as expected an hour before closure they don't have any ready-made sushi to grab and go, but they did have some made-to-order poke, donburi, and noodle boxes. The teriyaki chicken was perfectly pleasant and hot, and they don't skimp on the details like even giving you what I find as the fanciest disposable chopsticks I've ever used haha (smoothly round, shiny, darker wood). Their prices are somewhat higher than I'd have liked, but I know where I'm at.”
