"I love Sanibel and want to support the rebuild by spending money and vacation in this beautiful place. However, Sanibel is not ready and welcoming tourists these days. I would not recommend to visit Sanibel any time soon. Paying a lot of money to come for the weekend to get stuck on the bridge for 3 hours. No signs of what is going on , no explanation, just cement trucks around. Never seen anything like this with absolutely no consideration to anybody. The line starting from the bridge on a Saturday around noon is probably going down all the way to Naples by now. The island should be closed if things like this are planned . Everybody's time is important."
