"I researched for a good neurologist and wanted to see Dr. Kettani and was told that in order to be seen at this office I would have to have my medical records sent to them. That’s fine, I made sure to call my previous office and have them sent over. The first time I called this office, a young lady helped me and was very nice and left a great impression. Now a few days later I speak on the phone with a different receptionist named Charlene. I told her my medical records should be sent to them by now and I would like to make an appointment. She not only tells me that my records aren’t there but also says that they don’t have appointments until July so… So I shouldn’t even bother? Not sure where she was going with saying that? Anyways, I call my previous provider and they confirm that they sent the fax over the day before. So now I have to call back and wait on hold and the phone picks up and sits there for a few seconds and then hangs up. Now I’m pissed but maybe it’s a fluke so I call and wait a second time and the same exact thing happens. She was literally screening my calls!! I had to confirm, so I use my boyfriend’s phone to call and she picks up no problem. I told her who I was and said that I just called twice and the phone hung up both times do you know anything about that? She asks what my number is and I tell her and then she just says how can I help you today? She didn’t even attempt to come up with an excuse LOL. I continued on because I was not going to let her waste ANY more of my time, I let her know that I confirmed with my provider that the fax was indeed sent. Now this is the kicker, she tells me that it can take up to a day for the fax to show up in my chart… Charlene, why couldn’t you have just said that the first time I called? You had no problem “letting” me know that appointments are booked out until July but forgot to mention that it might take a day for the fax to show up in my chart? This lady really made something that could have taken me 2-3 minutes take 30+ minutes just to be petty? Like what was the reason for hanging up on me multiple times?? I’m genuinely so confused by that part the most. Anyways I really wanted to make an appointment to see Dr. Kettani but this all just put a bad taste in my mouth. Good luck trying to get scheduled here as a new patient. I’m not playing these games!"

"Nurses were very nice but doctor is very dismisses doesn't have a mind of her own I was wrongfully misdiagnosed and been trying to get reevaluate for my epilepsy and instead of the doctor doing her own exam she went by old an false notes and clearly wasn't respectful to my or my husbands nor my primarys considerations on getting me reevaluate for my epilepsy so I can get me the right treatment and change or medications they use the excuses and push their patients on one diagnosis on ones and just assume all their patients has that although I have history of epilepsy since I was born with me having spinocerebellar ataxia type 10 I'm prone to having partial motor seizures they don't not listen to their patients they are more worry getting recognize on TV as if they are the best doctors in the world although they will lie they way through to get notice and not treat their patients with respect nor listen and try to help them instead they push their patients away and say it's all in their head just to get paid theses doctors all they do theses days don't waste your time on top of she not an epilepsy neurologist the doctor that is is supposedly so busy so she was an help but doesn't know to much which waste my time I'm here trying to get help and they just worried about a paycheck"

"Did not have a pleasant experience with Dr. Murugappan. She is clearly over-worked as she was speaking over me to dictate her note while I was talking to her. I was prescribed a medication that required a prior authorization and I was told her team would do the PA for me. The PA was never completed despite 3 phone calls by the pharmacy to her office. I also called the office to discuss this PA, but I never received a response. Extremely disappointed in the care received here and the inability to receive a necessary medication."

"If I could leave 3 separate reviews, I would. 1. Advent Health: Advent took a complaint towards Dr. Murugappan seriously and took great care of me as an organization. I am grateful for that and recommend Advent Health. 5 stars. 2. Dr. Murugappan: She was very dismissive as she did not listen to me at all. She dictated into her microphone the entire time without actually asking me anything. Just recording random answers, which is very dangerous considering the information in my chart was 75% inaccurate, like family history of brain tumors. 0 stars. 3. Dr. Katani: EXTREMELY impressed with her. Finally, after 16 years of suffering with migraines, she's the first to ever recommend nutritional supplements in addition to prescriptions. 5 stars. I'm leaving that recommendation here in hopes to help someone else who has only ever been medicated with prescriptions with no results: Migraine supplement regimen Complex B Niacin (nonflush) 500mg daily Co-Q 10 100mg daily Magnesium glycinate 400mg In summary, book your appointment here with Dr. Katani and Dr. Katani only."

"Unfortunately I am not able to leave a review for Dr. Alamelu Murugappan separately, so I will be leaving one here. Today I had an appointment with this Doctor and it was by far the most dismissive and unprofessional interaction I have ever had! Dr. Murugappan was both argumentative and confrontational with me during my appointment. After experiencing dental issues for almost two years, I was recommended to see a neurologist. This office/doctor was within my network; hence why I chose here. When I was explaining my situation to Dr. Murugappan, she would talk over me. To my understanding, she was talking into a recorder; I'm assuming to document what I was telling her. However, it was distracting to me because she would do it as I was speaking. Also, before I was done explaining why I was there, she kept asking who referred me. I gave her that information as well and she continued to say she could not help me. I sighed due to the circumstances because my Dentist does not know what to do to help me; which is why I was referred to her and now here is my last resort saying they can't help. It did not affect my interaction with Dr. Murugappan. I even expressed to her, my frustration is not with you. Shortly after, she became argumentation and confrontational. Dr. Murugappan stopped her recordings at one point to inform me how she doesn't understand why I am frustrated with her and not making eye contact. I told her several times I wasn't frustrated or upset with her. I just want some answers and help. Yet, she continued to harp on this issue! I then stated I was ready to leave and with her blocking the only exit to the room, I did not want to create a scene and waited for her to be done with her recording. As I was waiting, she continued to ask me questions and repeat herself in saying she cannot help me. I informed her SEVERAL times AGAIN that I wanted to leave and be done with this appointment. I then decided to get up and walk out because she clearly was not understanding me! As I went into the reception area, I informed the women upfront that I wanted to pay my bill and leave! At this point I WAS frustrated due to Dr. Alamelu Murugappan's unprofessional behaviour! I expressed to her several times I wanted to leave and she would not listen. Her words continued to be she could not help me. She did mention going to a pain center; even then I asked if she could recommend one because I am unfamiliar with all of this. She just kept saying go to a pain center and then proceeded to offer a pain medication. I declined because at this point she was being argumentative and I no longer wanted ANY help from her! I have never had such an overwhelming Doctor's appointment before! I did not feel heard and felt dismissed. It is not a good feeling when you are going to, or suppose to be going to a professional! I believe Doctors should lead with empathy and sympathy for their patients; as well as helping to bring some form of clarity or solution. Not argue, dismiss, or judge them for their personal pains or struggles! Dr. Alamelu Murugappan did all three and I wish to NEVER interact with her again! In addition, upon reaching home; I check the full summary report of my visit or lack there of, and Dr. Murugappan painted the "perfect picture" of herself. Alleging she was sympathetic and helpful; which she was neither! I would like to make a formal complaint and I WILL look into being able to do so! I was both DISAPPOINTED and DISGUSTED by her actions today as a medical professional! Lastly, the women in the reception area and the woman who prepped me for the Doctor were all FANTASTIC! They LISTENED to me and made the attempt to remedy the situation. They were the ones who also decided to not charge me for my visit. A few of the women also recommended I see another Neurologist in the office, which I plan to. Thank you to the women up front! When I was in tears from being overwhelmed and just in disbelief, they reassured me it will be okay and made sure I was calm before leaving. I appreciated that more than they could know!"
