"We visited the Hansen House June 30, 2023. It was a shock when we drove up to what we expected to be a quaint, charming old bed & breakfast. The entire yard was brown and dead except for the trees and some bushes. We went to the front door and it was locked. We wondered if it was abandoned, but no, a sweet older lady came out and let us in. Inside the house looked better than the outside. It was full of antiques. We stayed in the blue lagoon room. The round bed was fun and comfortable. The jetted tub was nice. Thankfully, there was a window air conditioner to allow us to sleep. Warning, this place is directly across the street from trax and we heard the trains passing often in the night. We didn't feel like it was the cleanest place. It was definitely run down. Many light bulbs were burned out. We waited in the library while our hostess made breakfast. 30 minutes later we ate a simple breakfast (casserole, toast and yogurt) at a table that was set with very fancy antique tableware. The hostess ate with us and after insisted that we listen to the 15 minute history of the house (we were in a bit of a hurry) and had already read most of the history in about 3 minutes. We love bed and breakfasts, but will not visit this one again. It was run down, felt dirty and it was an awkward experience. In addition, it was way over priced. More than a nice hotel and breakfast."

"Just as wonderful and beautiful as 10 years ago. My husband and I spent our first wedding night in this place. We decided to revisit it after 10 years and it still has the same charm and great service as the first time. The owner is supper sweet and makes an amazing breakfast! I'm hopping we don't wait another 10 years to come back. I don't want to wait that long again. It's to wonderful a place to stay away from."

"My husband and I stayed here for a anniversary. We stayed in the Blue Lagoon room; Fran, the owner of the b&b, is very kind and thoughtful. The home is very tastefully decorated, on theme with the victorian era, and our room felt very cozy and comfortable, it even had a fireplace! The owner made a delicious breakfast from scratch and then gave us a fascinating oral history of the home! One thing to be prepared for, the rooms have great large tubs, but you may run out of hot water before they are completely filled."

"We loved staying here! Fran is the sweetest, she made the most delicious breakfast and took our food allergies into consideration, plus her home is amazing and has so much history. We stayed in the Cowboy room in the bunk house, it was well worth it for the extra privacy. The bathtub fits 2, and the outhouse bathroom was a fun touch. The fireplace kept the room cozy warm, and the bed was comfortable. The home and decor are definitely older and well loved, and that is part of the charm. Fran gave us a tour of all the other rooms during check out, and we will definitely be back!! She is a sweetheart and loves sharing the history of the home."
