"I want to believe this place is excellent and I just had a bad first experience. I had to withdraw from Beg/Int acrylic painting with instructor Cathy Drennan this Feb/March Little to no instruction nor direction was provided Cathy had air of nonchalance about being there, a generally unpleasant attitude and not enough respect was shown to the art form nor the time and resources invested on the part of the students. I do expect there to be some level of self directed learning but I found myself on YouTube a lot after my questions were met with some version of “just paint”, or “give it time” even “it’s not that serious” I was so excited for this. Spent a lot between the cost of class registration, supplies, commute and missed work. Rearranged my entire schedule to accommodate it which is hard to do. I won’t say it was a total waste as it inspired some creativity within but I was very disappointed. I did contact the school and was ignored. A simple acknowledgment of my experience would have made me feel seen and heard. I strongly advise to avoid this instructor as her attrition rate is sky high for a reason. Thank you"

"The best ceramic dept in the dfw area. Tabatha Trolli is an amazing and talented instructor. She makes the classes fun and challenging. She's very encouraging and you walk away inspired, motivated and excited for the next class."

"I have taken drawing, mosaics, and ceramics at the CAC and can not say enough good things about the center. Susan Giller is an excellent drawing instructor and always provides each student with great feedback. I am also currently very fortunate to be teaching here. The center also does a lot of community outreach."

"This is a great way to explore your creative side. I finally took a few sessions of the Metal Arts class after years of talking about it. I have no idea why I waited so long. Even though I had no experience, I was able to quickly learn how to make metal arts. Art Garcia is an amazing instructor. He has a background in teaching and creating public art work. We spent the early sessions focused on learning technique. Then he helped me find my creative side and bring it out in my work. He does a great job giving you the skills and inspiration to explore and showcase your talents."
