"RENTERS BEWARE!!! This place is a scam!!!! I lived here for 2 years with very little issue until it came time to move out of my apartment. I cleaned the apartment to an absolute tee before moving out and they still charged me over $500 from my security deposit to CLEAN the apartment. There was no damage to anything. I was charged a $50 cleaning fee for cleaning the medicine cabinet (there wasn't even one in the apartment). I was charged $50 for cleaning the kitchen sink which was immaculate. $50 for the refrigerator which was spotless. $50 for not changing out the AC filter (which is a maintenance issue and should have been replaced by them). Overall I would say avoid this place at all costs. Way too over priced for an apartment that is nowhere near downtown and has no accommodations like a pool or balcony. Even the fitness center is filled with treadmills that have no power; you have to adjust the incline and let gravity do the work. Management is nice until it comes time to move out. I would rate them 0/5 stars if I could. Find somewhere that isn't scam!!!!"
"I lived there for 2 years. The management was great, issues were usually resolved within one day. I’m very thankful for the people who work there, they made my life there easy and pleasant. The only complaint I had was the noise issue, but I guess every apartment could have the same issue."
"I have been living here for 2.5 months now and have zero complaints! Great location and very quiet building which were two of the most important qualities for me. I almost never hear any neighbors, there’s plenty of parking if you add the $50 monthly charge to your rent for a space which I recommend unless you’re ok parking 2-3 blocks away. Management is very quick to fix things if you have a problem (my microwave wasn’t turning on and they came out the same day I put in the request and had it fixed). Highly recommend!"
"I lived at Garfield Park for about 1 1/2 years. I would recommend Garfield Park to anyone. I really enjoyed the management, the building was always clean, and the tenants that lived in the building were nice as well. I had a few maintenance needs, throughout my stay and each of them were all taken care of immediately. I have no complaints, in fact, the building owner was the most accommodating and caring landlord I have ever had."
