"Local By Laramar is the worst property management I have dealt with in 20 years as a renter. They took over the property in January did not find out who the property manager was until March. They DO NOT maintain the property. Just one time have they shoveled and de-Iced the property since taking over, so good luck not slipping. Our back entry gate has been broken for a couple weeks, anyone has access to the property which is suppose to be secure community. Their communication is non-existent. You can not get a hold of a live person besides Kyle who says this and that but not actually helpful."
"I live at 1284 N downing and unfortunately, we assumed new management recently, they are worst than the last so far for sure. My roommate has emailed them 2 times asking about getting a garage door opener over the course of weeks and they have yet to respond, and I emailed them about the buildings front door for whatever reason being unlocked routinely. It's a glass door you see through from a busy road and just so happens the delivery drivers puts our packages right behind it and i have now had 3 packages stolen now. Completely preventable. What kind of property management company can't reply to emails that warrant a 1-3 sentence reply in a timely manner. One of three things is happening. They are not staffed appropriately to handle their current business demand, the management overseeing the customer service department needs is extremely ineffective at their jobs and not managing/ensuring a workflow of their teams or they are not checking their inboxes. None of which are acceptable when it comes to overseeing someone's living situation, they pay good money for. I am not surprised by the fact this company has more negative reviews than almost any I see when i look at reviews I'm just upset it's the company I have to rely on and is doing a very poor job. If the management company where you live is part of your decision-making process, I urge you to look elsewhere. What cracks me up is they put fliers up in the building for a meet and greet last weekend. They have staff set those things up and go to all their locations to post them up and then have parties, but they can't handle elementary issues of residents in any type of a timely manner. Check your priorities please. I know theft in the building is not on management but I feel they are liable for my stolen items when I was assured the building was secure and door was locked when I moved in. Had it been, I would have my orders and not have to buy them again."
"Awful experience! If you’re thinking about renting an apartment here, make yourself a favor and don’t! The building smells, the elevators are always dirty. It’s not safe and packages are always stolen, even the couch in the lobby was stolen. Once a homeless was sleeping inside the building. The management changed 3x in less than 6 months. Nobody knows what happens here nor get anything done. With this mess about the management, I’m being obligated to stay longer than I had to, because they couldn’t handle the leasing renewals during all the changes. Awful place, even worse management!"

"This is by far the worst experience I have had when dealing with ANY type of property management. If I could give negative stars I would. For starters, I reached out to Aumbree Whitmarsh in August of 2022 about my deposit as I had not received any correspondence since moving out. She then proceeded to drag me along on a wild goose chase since they have a new assistant manager every other week. By November 5, 2022 I was still reaching out trying to get information out of anyone. I then received a collection letter for $1400 in the mail???? Which I firmly disputed and sent actual print outs of my bank statements and emails going back to august as well as the move-out statement that did not even match my initial deposit amount ???? On November 9, 2022 I finally got in contact with an assistant manager Katherine Amaya who said she was looking into it with her “accounting department”. I had heard nothing so I checked back in on 11/17 … still nothing. I then reached out on 1/26 AGAIN to express how frustrated I was that no one had still responded to me. I then got a response on 2/01 saying it was being looked into in a “timely matter”. Three weeks went by and I reached out on 2/22 for the last time and once again received absolutely No correspondence from anyone. I also just today, on Tuesday November 14th 2023 received a notification there was a mark on my credit report saying I had an account sent to collections from a new debt.. guess who. This will be disputed once again with documentation and at this point I will be going to small claims court and I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. I have been beyond patient and courteous but this is absolutely ridiculous. Whoever is running the circus over there needs to take some responsibility."
