"Moving here has been nothing but seamless and pleasant. I spent a great deal of time and research deciding to make this place my long-term home, and I have not been disappointed. It is well-managed, the neighborhood is beautiful, and rent is very reasonable. Nancy and Sandy are quite possibly the most pleasant and considerate leasing professionals I’ve ever met. I arrived from out of state unexpectedly early during the middle of Labor Day weekend, and they accommodated me by provisioning my keys that evening so I could get some rest that night. They truly care about their tenants here, and it definitely shows in the overall apartment community spirit. Very happy to call Liongate my home!"
"I lived here for almost a decade in the aughts and I have mixed feelings. The building itself was built in 1969 (I know this because it was imprinted on the inside of my metal closet doors), so the apartments and whole building were super dated- wall to wall carpeting, older appliances, etc. When I moved in, I was by far the youngest or one of the youngest tenants there. I was single and working and the rent and location were good. I wanted to live at Country Club Garden but couldn't afford it at the time. The pool was a nice amenity. There used to be a security guard until midnight, which was nice, since I worked nights. But I think they let him go. There was a bit of crime here and there and people would get into the building by being buzzed in, which caused an incident that was pretty scary for me one night. The location near Cherry Creek and Wash Park were good, as well as the bus on Downing. I was so sad they didn't allow pets and we're, in fact, very anti animals. I was actually accused of feeding birds in my balcony. When I moved out, Vicky turned very ugly to me and I had to fight to get my security depot back. I took excellent care of that place for 9 years but they didn't want to professionally clean before the next tenant?! Super unprofessional. I was really disappointed intge end because I was a good paying, decent tenant and was treated like garbage in the end. Oh, well!"
"Wow! What a great decision to live in this community. Wonderful management on sight and wonderful folks handling the property maintenance. When I moved here from out of state 3 months ago, I drove around and checked out so many places. As soon as I sat down with the on-sight managers here to have a conversation, I instantly felt this would be the right place. They came across as genuine, honest, transparent, caring, and friendly humans, and they stayed true to that first impression throughout my stay here. It is not just about what they offered, but how they interacted with me that made the difference and set them apart from other communities. They truly are great people and take tenants' requests seriously and ensure service is provided in a timely manner. This is a safe and family-oriented community. The tenant population represents people of various age groups, professional fields, and cultural diversity. Neighbors are quiet and quite friendly. The neighborhood is a walkable community. I work in downtown; so, I take the bus across the street and get to work within 10-12 minutes. Everything is nearby within 1 mile distance - Cherry Creek shopping plaza, Washington Park, grocery stores, coffee shops, banks, etc. These were all important for me, because I was in the process of relocating family members who do not drive and need to be within walkable distance to most places. By all means, I truly love this community, its management, and strongly recommend people to give this place a serious consideration in their search for a place to call home. You will like the managers who will make a huge difference. They keep their promises, follow up, and do the right thing. Doing the right thing is proven to provide a great customer experience and build trust."
"I lived in the Liongate from June 2016 to 2017. The place was great on its own and even better when you consider the alternatives (and higher rent) for the same square footage. Vicky and Nancy were always available and did their best to make sure each tenant was happy. I'd recommend living here to anyone. Location can't be beat. Amenities aren't necessary when you have this location. Apartments were quiet and despite my best intentions I never disturbed (or was disturbed) by my neighbors. Solid construction / sound proofing between units. Great place to live."
"My husband and I have lived at the Liongate for almost 5 years and love it! My husband and I are young professionals in our late 20s and wanted to live in a building that was close to Wash Park and downtown, but not right in downtown. We found everything that we were looking for at the Liongate. The building is quiet (we did not want an apartment that had parties and loud music going all the time. We aren't in college anymore), my neighbors are great, the rent for the area is reasonable, you can't beat the views of the mountains and downtown and the location is PERFECT! The apartment is right across the street from the Cherry Creek trail, there are tons of bus stop locations in front of the building and right across the street (which is helpful because my husband takes the bus to downtown to work everyday) and you are within walking distance to Wash Park, Cheesman park and Cherry Creek North shopping area. Overall, I love it here. Nancy and Vicki the property managers are great. They are always available and have always been able to assist me right away if I have any problem. The only downside is the apartment itself is a little dated and the workout room is more like a closet with 2 older treadmills and a weight deck, but it gets the job done. PROS: -great and helpful management -reasonable rent for the location -quite and respectful neighbors (seems to be 2 demographics here: young professionals or >60) -free storage -free bike storage -underground parking and above ground parking -great views -wonderful location near the cherry creek trial, wash park and cherry creek mall -wood burning fire places Cons: -building and decor a little dated -workout facility -indoor only pool"
