"During my time at Trivium I lived in 2 different units. Both units had dripping A/C units that led to mold issues in the apartment. Both times maintenance did little to nothing to fix the issue. Not only that, but when I moved out most recently I was charged for the replacement of the carpet/paint/drywall that was a result of the mold (in both the bedroom in bathroom). Unreserved parking was constantly overflowed, leaving me with nowhere to park when I came home from work most nights, and every year it takes at least 2 weeks of hot/cold weather until the property decides to switch the cooler on/off in order to provide us the ability to appropriately thermoregulate our living space."
"I lived here in a studio for 5 years. During that time (in November 2021), the building's gray water (yup) backed up into my apartment and my neighbor's. In my unit the water was 1/2" deep in some places and ruined rugs and other items. The management dealt with it fairly quickly, though I did a lot of the cleaning myself, and this seems like the sort of dire maintenance issue that never should have been allowed to happen. On the note of plumbing, water leaked through my bathroom wall from a burst pipe for over a year, causing part of the wall to rot out, before maintenance would fix it. They kept telling me it was caused by steam from the shower, then apologized when they discovered what was happening behind the wall (a pipe needed to be soldered). There were lots of dogs in the building when I lived there, some were not well tended and barked all day. Management got worse and worse between 2018 and when I moved out in 2023, becoming more hostile and just unpleasant in all their dealings. I'm glad to be done with them. As others have mentioned, the freeway noise is pretty constant and hard to ignore, but I did get used to it over the years. Not an entirely bad experience, but not without some serious frustrations. Rent went up every year I was there, and by the time I moved out in 2023, it didn't seem worth it when I could get a comparable unit in a better maintained building with an in-unit washer and dryer for just a couple hundred a month more."
"Tried to inquire about a unit and am met with very passive aggressive rudeness. Not sure why that would make me want to rent here as I can only imagine the treatment I would receive if I did sign a lease."
"Management forced another month or two of rent out of us when we were moving out because of some contractual technicality when we were at our lowest point, and money was the tightest, at the start of COVID. We left the apartment in a better condition than we received it. We detest living in unkempt, filthy conditions so we go out of our way to maintain the space we eat and sleep. Moving in, there were dry boogers stuck to every wall & surface in the apartment, the floors and bathroom tub were absolutely filthy, massive clumps of dust and filth collecting on vents. My girlfriend had a breakdown at how revolting it was. Do not be fooled by their shiny, new photos. Disgusting to move into; yet they kept the full security deposit. Not even offering a fraction of it back, though we hadn't left anything damaged and the pandemic was at its toughest. Imagine how customers are treated when everything is going good. If you feel like being emotionally and financially abused by a cohort of property managers, schedule a meeting, otherwise steer clear. Glad we moved out when we did. Found a place with more amenities, treats their tenants with respect, for the same price downtown (subsidized by the govt)."
"I am a past renter and I think it's only fair to warn those looking for an apartment to stay far away from this place. I signed my lease with the previous owners at $800/a month for a studio, had to live through their renovations for the better part of a year, then was told I wouldn't qualify to renew my lease under their new policies. On top of that I had a warrant for my arrest which I was planning to deal with when I had the funds to hire an attorney but I was quite surprised when in the shower the manager decided to open my door and let the police come in (without a search warrant). I'm not perfect but I was a good tenant with perfect payment history, these people will treat you like garbage after they take your money."
