"Do not sign with these apartments unless you are absolutely sure that you want to stay here. First, if you have a situation where you have signed the lease and need to get out of it before you even move in, you would need to find someone else to take over the lease. I was paying rent for 5 months until I was able to find someone to take over my lease. In the process, I had people who talked to me go to them and sign a separate lease because my lease was so high compared to what they have now. Second, I was promised a concession prize for signing the lease at the time I did and never got it after 5 months. Now I can't get it because I found someone to take over my lease agreement. This apartment my have staff that are friendly to students (which is why they got two stars), but the policies are not."

"Ignore the bad reviews - I lived at Vista during the management change, and the change was 100% for the better. I was exploring other apartments and decided to renew at Vista, and a majority of the reason was because the new management team is so awesome. Also, there are bad reviews about stuff from 6 months ago when the building was being renovated... Yeah there were some annoyances but those couple days were worth having an apartment now with brand new furniture and no random maintenance headaches"

"Lived there for one year. It was okay till December 2022. When the leasing company changed, building management became horrible. Water shut off every week (twice/ thrice a week without any notice) and elevator issues were common. The employee of the office was very rude to me when I complained about the water shut off. "Emergency is an emergency" should not be justification for poor management. The weird part is the payment of the leasing. We had to pay the full rent in August whereas the lease ended on 14th August. Lastly, the rent doesn't worth it. Disappointing place to live in."

"EDIT: Please be suspicious of the many 5 star reviews. I remember while living at Vista, they emailed all the tenants saying that if you left a positive review for the building, you would be entered to win a giveaway from the leasing office. Please be aware of 5 star reviews with little detail. Since I have graduated and moved out, I finally feel like I can leave my thoughts. I lived at Vista for 2 years and I would not recommend it. There are many other apartments around the DU area that are nicer, cheaper, and safer. My first year at Vista was okay, however, this past year has been horrible. A new management team took over the property and has made a bunch of false promises. They hiked up rent costs significantly for this next year, and are claiming it’s because they’re installing new furniture. The new renovations and furniture is absolutely not worth it. The maintenance is the building is horrible. The AC is pretty bad in the building, the elevators are almost always broken, water is constantly shut off, laundry machines are always down, the front desk is seriously almost always closed during the day with a note that says they’ll be right back, and my roommate’s packages have been lost and stolen multiple times this year. The new staff they hired are extremely rude over the phone and when you need help. Also, being a college apartment right by the bars, there have been a couple times residents have puked on the ramp going up to the building. Whatever it wasn’t a big deal however the building never cleaned it up. Students/residents had to walk around the puke on the ramp for weeks. I mean why wouldn’t they clean that up, I know it sucks but it’s on their property. Finally, I wouldn’t say it’s the safest building in the area because for awhile, the key fob scanners for the front and back entrances were broken, so they just left them open 24/7 allowing anyone to get in. I understand it was broken but it seemed like there were no efforts made to fix the security issue for months. To sum it up, it’s not worth the high cost. It’s convenient being right on University Blvd, but the quality of living there is so bad. Nobody likes living there."

"We looked at several places for my daughter and easily chose Vista for the friendly staff and great community. They recently did renovations and everything looks amazing! The best part about signing was the staff taking the time to explain every detail, every charge, and every step of the process. No information is withheld, which was so appreciated. All other properties we went to seemed to expect us to know what to ask, which was not helpful whatsoever. Very happy with Vista’s community and staff!"
