"Overall, Traverse is an awesome place to live. New apartments, updated amenities both around the complex and in the units. Gym is really a shining point. All the staff from front of house to maintenance is super friendly and attentive to all your needs. I would recommend living here 100%! Look into the area before you move, all the negative reviews I’ve seen clearly didn’t do their research before choosing Traverse! Garage and pool occasionally have maintenance but nothing unusual or long term during my year+ living there. You will have that issue anywhere you decide to live, in my opinion. Live at Traverse!"

"My son is a Navy veteran with a service connected disability. He has lived here for over a year, and it has been nothing but turmoil. Despite having paperwork that shows he can have an Emotional Support Animal, he was still subjected to a $300 per deposit fee."

"Update: Future interested tenants, please take the time to read prior reviews about the issues mentioned since this company loves to take zero accountability for the issues presented by current and former tenants. My friend’s car was broken into on the streets because the safest parking is either in front of the building in the fire lane, not the areas surrounding the apartment. Why would all of these tenants who took the time to write reviews take the time to write all this to blatantly lie about their experiences? My friend’s car was towed today because she parked in the lane if front of her apartment building, when she was told by a representative there that she could because there have been no issues before with tenants doing that. Now, she either HAS to pay an extra 100 to park in the secured parking garage or drive around 10 to sometimes even 30 minutes to find parking elsewhere because this apartment does not provide/have free adequate parking for its current tenants while it continues to add new ones to the building, and cars are not even safe in the secured parking garage that they’re paying 100 dollars a month for because that is still accessible to the public because the gates are always broken and because the “patrol” is patrolling everywhere but there apparently. Something is ALWAYS going on with the parking garage entrances working and then not working also with updates on the matter rarely coming in. No emails or notifications of any kind were sent to update tenants that have been parking in front of the building that there are now new towing practices taking place after months of cars being told they could park there and be ok before. In other news, the trash rooms smell absolutely rancid here from the times I have visited. My friend was told that they were cleaned daily upon her moving in, but there’s no way this is happening with the persistent god awful smell that lingers inside of these rooms from day to day along with the stains. And there have been boxes that have been left in there for more than 2 days, so that alone again confirms that these rooms are not cleaned daily as advised before moving in. And the recycling side only closes after you slam it to hell. The apartments themselves are actually really nice along with the community gym, but for the price of rent that the tenants pay here along with shared utilities charges that are unpredictable every month and on top of wifi, the building could at least provide a lower rate for the parking garage since it’s clearly known by the building what tenants that are not in the garage have to go through now to try to be able to find safe parking that’s within fair walking distance of the building, especially with the worst of winter upon us now."

"Be prepared for substantial additional charges on top of your base rent! Our initial estimate for rent was significantly lower to what we are actually paying. During our first few months, we were billed over $300 just for electricity. Despite reaching out to the office for clarification and assistance, we received “it was part of your contract you signed”. I tried contacting management directly through emails and phone calls but have yet to receive any response. Thankfully one of the new employee was able to address my concerns. Unfortunately, this location is not the safest place to live in. My boyfriends car got stolen about week ago. I thought about paying for a spot in the garage ($100monthly) but apparently, it’s not safe there either."

"I’m writing this review to share all of the concerns and issues I had while living here for a year. But before I do, I will say that the management and staff were nothing but friendly and understanding, so none of this is directed towards them, even the maintenance team was prompt and accommodating. But… -Fire alarm went off multiple times in the middle of the night, to the point where you’re out in the cold in the middle of the night. -Hot water went out multiple times, sometimes for entire evenings. -Trash shoots did not work for a long period of time (months) which in turn made the trash shoot rooms turn into the actual dumpster which you could smell through all of the hallways. -Lobby flooded multiple times. -Internet going out intermittently, not sure if it’s just the area or not since it’s a service from the complex. -Hot tub did not work for a long period of time (months). -Parking garage was an afterthought it seems, so many changes and issues with the doors and gates. -Stepped over homeless sleeping in the hallways on two different occasions. -Parking is very rough and limited outside of the garage. -Lastly, charging ridiculous move out fees. In the 12 (yes 12) aprtment complex’s that I’ve rented from I have never not received my security deposit back. But not only am I not receiving it back, but I also supposedly owe hundreds of dollars because of fees that are claimed as “standard”. These fees being a carpet cleaning fee (nothing wrong with the the carpet, it still looks brand new), cleaning fee (I cleaned this entire place myself, from scrubbing to mopping) and extremely high repainting fees (I filled every nail hole myself, I even have pictures to prove that any painting of where these nail holes are would take about 15 minutes with a quart of white paint). I’ve never been charged any of these things before and I think they’re all pretty unjustified especially since it could have been moved into the next day with some touch up painting. What would stop anyone that is moving out from painting their walls whatever color they want then leaving them, and leaving the entire place disgusting and unlivable if they’re just going to charge the “standard” fees anyway? There are positives to the place, like I stated, the staff is great. It’s a quiet place, the gym is nice, the actual apartment is nice, but it still leaves A LOT to be desired."
