"The room was filthy. I’m not so sure they have ever cleaned the bathroom or swept the room at all. The toilet had the previous tenants pubes and the bathtub has the previous persons hair. Not to mention the mold all over the shower, because there isn’t a vent. Cigarette burns in the thin blanket on the bed, and trash overflowing on the balconies. I’m not sure any of this hotel has ever been cleaned. If you stay here, bring cleaning supplies, ice trays, and trash bags. The stove top needs to be serviced, as the temperature varies even if it’s set to high. Upon check in, it smelled like cigarettes, which I have an allergy to, so I had to get air freshener and air out the room. Every morning around 5:00 AM you will be woken up by either other guests or various people revving their cars for an hour or screaming. You will not sleep a full night at this hotel."

"Immediately when you walk in you can smell mold with a sour smell as well. I walked around and you can see mold on the bathroom ceiling along with stains in the ceiling like there was or is a water leak. The bedsheet when you walked into the bedroom there was a stain on the side of the mattress that looks like blood. When I pulled the sheets back to the end of the bed it looks like blood stains. I requested a refund cause I didn't even stay the first night and they responded that because I signed the registration paper that I agreed to not receive a refund. So I lost almost $400. Oh and the sour smell was from the refrigerator that was never cleaned out and not clean. There was a slimy mold on the bottom drawer."

"This place is terrible, every room smells strongly of cigarette smoke and the management does not seem to care. Armed guards in the lobby and glass should have been a tip off of the type of establishment this place is. I was in my room for two minutes and realized that I did not want to stay here for an hour let alone a week. I asked to check out and offered to pay for the night, but they said too bad you already signed and we will not refund you. Keeping 360 dollars of my hard earned money is awesome customer service. Your management and ownership should be ashamed of your actions and business practices. You are crooks and thieves. I recommend the Baymont up the road! Much nicer place for the same price, AND they even refunded me when I didn't need the last night of my stay. Avoid this place at all cost."

"There are plenty of rooms at this HomeTowne Studios location. Sadly, the room we stayed in was not very clean and only had two lights in the whole room. We had trouble opening the door at first, and realized we had to slam our shoulder against the door to actually get in. The bed had no bed skirt, so the dirty floor was visible the moment we walked in the door. There were stains on the sheets we didn't notice until the morning we checked out. The light above the kitchenette cooktop was not very bright at all, and the bathroom light didn't shine into the main room area very well. Staff were quick to get us checked in, and advised us of where to park given our room location. The security gates remained open the entire stay (we were there 3 nights), which made me wonder why there were gates if they weren't utilized to keep guests' vehicles more secure. This location was directly off 6th Avenue and Kipling, so there was a lot of traffic. We weren't too impressed and hoped that one room was not normal and perhaps the housekeeper wasn't able to fully clean the room."

"My son stayed a few nights and they charged him a $50 deposit. I paid for one night and they charged me a $50 deposit. They kept both deposits and didn't bother to let us know. They lied and said my son smoked in the room...so they could keep both deposits. When I called the woman on the phone was laughing at me and extremely rude. If you stay here, you might as well write off your deposits. Scam artists and crooks. The rooms are filthy and sheets weren't even clean. Bathroom had diet and hair in every nook and cranny. I will be placing several calls to corporate offices as well as file complaints with the BBB as well as letting everyone know on every platform that the staff are crooks and can't even clean a room properly."
