"As a retired teacher, this hotel was absolutely the coolest place I have ever stayed! Seriously! You must stay here and see for yourself! The service is amazing, the people are top-shelf, and the facility is gorgeous! Special shout out to my "Teacher's Lounge" server, Tyler P. He took the time to give me a brief history lesson on the building and the surrounding area. Plus, his service was second-to-none. Same for Ashley and Alex. Folks, these guys take complete pride in where they work and the jobs that they do. Do yourself a favor and book at SLATE next time you're in Denver!! You'll be happy you did!"

"A Disappointing Experience at The Slate, Hilton Hotel in Denver I recently stayed at The Slate, Hilton Hotel in Denver, and I'm compelled to share the deeply disappointing experience I encountered, particularly at their in-house restaurant. Upon looking forward to a pleasant breakfast to start my day, my expectations were met with frustration right from the beginning. Despite the restaurant appearing to be far from full capacity, I was left to wait over 15 minutes just to be seated. This delay was not accompanied by any apologies or explanations from the staff, which was the first red flag indicating poor customer service. Once seated, the situation did not improve. I found myself completely ignored by the waitstaff. Attempts to catch someone's attention for a menu or a glass of water proved futile, as it seemed as though making eye contact with customers was the last thing on their agenda. This level of negligence was not only disappointing but also surprising, considering Hilton's reputation for hospitality. What compounded the frustration was observing other guests who arrived after me being attended to promptly. This inconsistency in service raises serious questions about the restaurant's customer service protocols. The ambiance of the restaurant, which could have been a redeeming feature, was overshadowed by the glaring issues with service. An establishment associated with the Hilton brand sets certain expectations for quality and customer care, both of which were glaringly absent in my experience. This breakfast experience at The Slate, Hilton Hotel in Denver was a letdown. It was a stark reminder that poor customer service can significantly tarnish the overall experience of a stay, no matter how reputable the hotel brand might be. I hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of their service standards, especially in the hospitality sector, where customer satisfaction should be paramount."

"Lovely schoolhouse-turned-hotel! I love this concept and appreciate the care the Hilton brand took to preserve the integrity of the original schoolhouse, both in theme and construction. The staff is super friendly and the hotel is quiet and comfortable. My only gripe is $50 for overnight parking feels excessive when a viable self-park option is not available. Otherwise, this is a charming space that feels like more than your standard hotel."

"Loved our stay at The Slate! The school theme is so fun and perfectly executed. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bar and seating areas downstairs are fantastic for a nightcap. Very lively atmosphere but perfect silence in our room, too. Just a few blocks to 16th St and a quick Uber to anywhere else you’d want to go in Denver. Had an issue on our last day where the shade crashed down - they had maintenance to my door in under five minutes and the gentleman was so friendly and got it straighted out in no time. They were kind enough to hold our bags for awhile after checkout which helped us enjoy our last hours downtown! Everyone was great from the valet to the cleaning staff. I’m very picky about where we stay (and have experienced some very luxurious hotels and resorts) - The Slate left me more than pleased. We’ll definitely return!"

"Great hotel!! This is such a cool place. I really love how they leaned into the school theme and kept its character and used some of the old pieces of the building for art as you can see in the hallways. Super bathrooms are great and have everything you need, including full size bottles of lotion, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Something I think a lot of hotels don’t give you! That’s a big plus for me. I love a good hotel bathroom. Everything is very clean and great location. Love this concept and I would definitely stay here again."
