"I thought...we walk by here so often let's stop in its a beautiful day, but for my little doggie and I "Good" park left a bit to be desired. Namely the EXTREMELY DANGEROUS children's playground!! How awful. His tiny paws were COVERED in burrs and sharp thorns as well as my ankles, pants and shoes. Yikes. Get out the tweezers and disinfectant!! Never in my life. This is not a playground for anyone who isn't wearing some type of combat gear. Lord Jesus."
"Nice little park in the middle of Des Moines. There have been and it can be shady there at times, so most definitely be aware of your surroundings. The park has an open field, shelter area, playground, basketball courts and more !"
"This park is an old favorite. Tons of memories made here. Not much but it'll give you something to do if you're looking for something. Check it out, you'll probably make some new friends while you're at it. The people who live on the block are pretty cool."
"Nice shelter in a hill in the heart of the inner city. The shelter had been cleaned when we used it. But the grounds by the handicapped parking on the west side were littered with liquor bottles and assorted trash. The park itself was very nice. Kids loved the water attraction."
"Looking at rental units in the area and came upon this park. City parks should be consistent of cleanliness and safety. People that visit parks usually see it and keep it the way they find it . Respect goes both ways. I seen dumped cans and glass around the tables and young men pillowing around like they owned the area. As I approached the center of the park could see the beauty of the place of course it needs more cover its a hot spot in the sun .Not a inner city park so why is it being neglected. C'mon people in the neighborhood take back what's yours and enjoy it."
