"I would highly recommend this vet clinic. I brought my very old cat in for the first time. She was having seizures and other severe pain and symptoms. They took her back immediately to evaluate her and help her. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye that night. The staff were very kind and compassionate during this difficult time. It felt like I had been going to this vet for years. The veterinarian took her time to explain what she felt was going on and gave me several options for care. The front of house was very empathetic and were checking in with me often as I waited and while I said my goodbyes. I cannot thank them enough for their efficient and supportive care during this time."

"We took our 4 year old doodle in late one night because he had, what we came to find out was, a bowel obstruction. From the front desk gals to the surgeons, every person in the facility treated us with such care. As if our dog was the only one in there. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the team here."

"My experience with Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Reno has always been absolutely outstanding. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and kind. Taylor, in particular, has always gone above and beyond to make my senior dog and I feel welcome and supported. The doctors are extremely skilled. Dr. Schroeder, the clinic’s surgeon, needed to perform a somewhat complicated tumor removal on my senior dog. I always felt I was in great hands, especially with her very responsive and skilled support team of Meghan, Cami and Allie. They always got back to be promptly whenever I had a question or concern and really made me feel my dog and I were in good hands during a pretty stressful time for us. I would absolutely recommend others go here and feel lucky that I found them for the care my dog needed."

"I highly recommend this place for any emergency veterinary care you might need. We brought our very very sick fur baby in. We could tell she was suffering greatly and didn’t want her to wait not even an extra few hours for care so we brought her into this place. They got us in very quickly and did such a good job taking care of our baby, and also making sure we were informed with every decision being made in regards to her care. This cat was our baby and they knew how special she was to us and they took such good care of her. We had to make the most unfortunate decision for a pet owner to ever have to make and put her to rest as she was in stage 5 kidney failure and was suffering with every moment of her life. The doctor we saw was Mark Atkinson, the level of compassion he showed was so soothing for my husband and I as we put down our very first pet we ever got as a couple. He took the time to explain and comfort us that what we were doing was the kindest choice for our beloved pet. He even gifted us a special paw print of our baby after a small discrepancy at the counter. In a time of such loss, the most we could ask for in those moments was received. When it came time to let her go, they took extra care to make sure her passing was a smooth as possible and allowing extra time for the sedative to work for our comfort. She went quietly and they allowed us as much time as we needed with her. If I only had one thing to say that would not be 100% positive, it would be the cost of the care.
