Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown

"I stayed at the Canopy in Tempe for a business trip. The location was great for me. I was 7 min away from my corporate office, which was super convenient. They also had a whole foods and a great breakfast spot called snooze near by. It was in walking distance! The hotel service was great. They sent text messages asking if we needed anything. The blonde woman at the front desk was very polite and professional. We checked out the rooftop bar and pool. The views of the city are impeccable yet nerve racking. If you are scared of heights, don't look down. The drinks at the bar are a bit over priced in my opinion. The room I stayed in was nice. I loved the shower! The only reason why I am giving four stars is because the bed was caved in and was very uncomfortable. The other reason is the parking. They have valet or a parking garage which you have to pay for to park your vehicle, even if you are coming in and out throughout the day. For two nights I spent $48 on parking. Other than that I had a pleasant stay. I will be back for future business trips."

"Loved the room, location was great, front desk staff were AWESOME (wish I could remember the name of the young woman who checked us in, she was just lovely, curly dark hair), easy parking, loved the hip vibe (reminded me of a chain called 21c that built hotels in specific underserved locations and then businesses grew up around the hotel and the neighborhoods improved), I PARTICULARLY liked the bare concrete floors with the exception of the carpeting around the bed. Had one minor issue with climate control, engineering resolved it quickly and cheerfully I might add. Huge TV, easy controls, ability to stream (that's a big one for me, I never understood why hotels work SO hard to PREVENT people from using their own streaming services, intentionally). The lighting was a noteworthy touch. In particular, labeling the master switch is brilliant to me. And having bedside switches for the bed lights, let alone dimmers! Really nice. And the big windows? NICE! Bathroom was great! I loved the shower. Big fan of that style with overhead rain head but including a wand control (I MUST have the wand!). Bath products were nice. Oh yeah, there weren't any tissues but no big deal. Spacious, too. Didn't get a chance to try dining but the restaurants looked GREAT. In fact, I read a Yelp review that said "when a hotel concierge recommends a DIFFERENT hotel's restaurant, that tells you something." On top of everything else, dog friendly with the cookie jar and general dog welcoming vibe. I considered this an excellent value and I'll actually plan a return trip specifically because of this hotel."

"Fantastic hotel! Love staying at canopy hotels for business and this was no exception. Close to campus at ASU, several restaurants nearby, and everything you could need in a short distance. Hotel has valet or self service parking. Room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my trip."

"Have stayed here twice in the last year. Location has been convenient for the different events we've attended. NHL Hockey and the Innings Festival. Rooms are good with the basic amenities expected. Nothing special here. Service is always excellent with front desk and valet staff. The restaurant in the lobby has a modest menu with mostly upscale options and a bar with some outdoor seating. The food is prepared well and is good. The service in the restaurant can be hit or miss. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, some staff lack attention after you've been served."

"Our stay was incredible! I was here with Best Version Media work meetings and the accommodations, meeting rooms, restaurants, food and staff were all top notch! Seriously best customer service I think I've had at a hotel ever. Our 19 month old was with us so the staff let us schedule housekeeping around naps, got us an electric kettle to heat her bottle, etc. When traveling with a toddler, those type of experiences stand out so much and can truly make or break a trip. I recommend this hotel to anyone!"
