"Great little hotel tucked away ,staff and management friendly and accommodating,price is great my room is a little studio bed table tv ,fridge microwave ,with nice bathroom, fits my needs perfectly good location of the 60 Grand Ave, love the slow rolling train when sitting outside ,sun setting over the tracks ,I personally really dig this place"

"I almost don't want to post a review because I don't want this place to be overrun by those that won't appreciate it but, this motel is a diamond in the rough! The lovely family that owns the place has obviously put so much thought and care into the property and deserve the highest and best review their visitors can make. Property is nestled in off of a major thoroughfare but, you wouldn't know that once you're settled into your room. I hardly heard any cars passing by and certainly didn't interfere with my rest. The room I had (114) was small but cozy. The bed was firm and comfy. The linens and towels are of good to great quality and were of exceptional cleanliness. Cable in the room with many channels and the TV is a newer flat screen. One of the best features is the mini fridge which was an actual mini fridge and freezer with their own compartments like a regular size one. The bathroom was beautiful. I can't get over the beautiful tile throughout. I should have taken a picture but, sadly i didnt. There was also a beautiful etched vanity mirror hung up, as well. The room was extremely clean. Zero signs of any sort of bugs or anything negative. It appears this property has gone through a significant update in the recent past (although I didn't confirm this). It truly is very, very nice. I would give 10 stars if possible and I couldn't say that for even the expensive resorts I've stayed at! I see many negative comments regarding the customer service and those comments couldn't be further from the truth. The gal that checked me in was professional and courteous. Remember, She is there to do a job (which i imagine is thankless and I'm certain this family has seen their fair share of ungrateful visitors). She is not there to be your friend! After check-in however, I was greeted with friendliness and concern over my comfort and they made sure I had everything I needed which is more than I can say for most anywhere else. As I was leaving I noticed the door open to another room where there was a little stove which I thought was great for guests which needed a place to stay a bit longer. Lastly, the property is extremely quiet without any loud riffraff walking around, which I also appreciated. All in all this was an exceptional experience at this property and I'm hopeful to return very soon. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL AND PEACEFUL STAY!"

"The rooms are now 1/2 the size they used to be and cost twice as much a night. The staff were far from inviting and rude. No matter what time you arrive and check in check out is at 10 am no exceptions. Beds were hard and pillows were flat. But man... The staffs lack of customer service skills is enough for me to never recommend or ever stay there again."
