Aloft Glendale at Westgate

"Absolutely the worst hotel experience ever!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Spent $300 on a room that was supposed to be ready for a 3:00pm check in time….i was still arguing on the phone with Expedia and the hotel staff here at 12:04 am the next day (my check out date) just to get into my room. Finally get in the room, ask for the manager to speak to….still waiting on that manager. They must have gotten lost because not one manager ever said a word to me. Just the front desk girl who was rude and could care less that I paid for a room and got less than 9 hours in it."

"This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. When we got there the smell/perfume coming from the lobby was so overwhelming, and it wasn’t even a good scent. It smelled like old lady. When we got into our room the sheets and bedding looked like it hadn’t been changed from the previous person. Every bit of our bedding had stains on them all. We had to walk to the front and get them changed. Also, this hotel is a pet friendly hotel, and yet nowhere around the hotel was there a potty bag and trash station. We had to use our own bags and walk around to the front to throw our trash away and each time the trashcan was completely full. Another thing, we went to hang out in the lobby and play some big jenga and my nephew found GLASS on the floor. Thank goodness he was old enough to hand it to me and didn’t cut himself. Overall this was a terrible stay for us and I would definitely recommend others who are looking to stay here, look elsewhere."

"Stayed February 4-5, 2024. I was so impressed with this hotel! I was told it is set up minimally in the rooms as it is set up for getting you out and enjoying Westgate and the surrounding areas. However, those minimal settings are very nice and clean! They are not the destination, they are the place to sleep.. Which was perfect for what we needed.. resting and sleeping! The long shower was so nice and water stayed HOT! The beds are super comfortable! The staff was so accommodating! Everything we needed. Its a great place to stay. The bar is friendly and they make yummy drinks. There is lots of seating near the bar and games set out to play, it is set up for socializing, very open! There is a little 'mart' set up for purchasing snacks and such. The front desk was awesome as we were a little needy, had a kid with us part time :) We stayed two nights while moving locally and it was great knowing a comfy clean bed was right down the block waiting for us. The heated pool was nice too, it sure wore out the kiddo! There are plenty of lounging seats and tables to relax by the pool. The patio has the cutest tables to eat at and also a fire pit to enjoy. Sam and the entire staff were amazing and always had friendly smiles. We will be back for sure! I am thankful to the entire staff for hosting my family so well and easing our stress during this time. I highly recommend this location. I have already recommended it to friends."

"The room is spacious and clean, however, the traffic noise and music noise from next room are unbearable. The receptionist at the front desk absolutely have no interest in my business, even with my reservations, I need to beg him to get me checked in."

"I hate that I have to do this because I actually enjoyed my stay. My room was amazing and the amenities that were offered was great. The problem I have which is now affecting my personal and finical responsibilities. I booked and paid for my room through Priceline. When I got to the hotel I was told there was a 400 deposit fee and a 15 fee for parking. After my stay I noticed I was charged 318.73 from the hotel. This caused me to go into overdraft as well as occur return credit card fees for bills that were already setup. I was told I would be called right back by hotel staff and I have yet to hear from someone. Yes I know I can dispute the charge but who wants to go through that hassle. Awaiting a refund and at least some kind of accommodation for the disaster that occur due to a mistake on the hotels end."
