"I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by Avondale Nissan for the repair of my vehicle. Following the service on my engine, Kyle recommended that I bring the car in for oil changes every 3,000 miles or acquire a sludge kit for the sludge they had found in the engine. He also mentioned that oil changes every 3,000 miles should suffice. Unfortunately, three days after servicing, my car suddenly lost acceleration while I was driving with my son, and we were stranded on a freeway bridge. After towing the car back to Avondale Nissan, I was informed that they could not cover my engine under warranty. They claimed that they had no record of oil changes between 13,000 and 32,000 miles. I explained to them that I had invoices in my car that should confirm the oil changes, however, they went through my personal property without permission and made photocopies but found nothing. A week later, I contacted them for an update on my car's status, but they only informed me that I needed a new engine. When I inquired if they had examined the car or investigated the cause of the breakdown, they said they had not, and the car had been sitting there for over a week. I then requested that they inform me of what part of the engine needed repairing, but they refused, stating that they are in the business of fixing cars, not breaking them down. They offered me an exorbitant quote for a new engine and labor. When I asked if they could check to see if anything else needed replacing besides the engine so that I could make an informed decision, they said that the car keeps stalling and needs a new battery. They informed me that the new battery would be covered by Nissan's warranty. I requested clarification on what that meant and how it affected my current battery. After going back and forth, they agreed to have Nissan cover the battery replacement when I get the engine replaced. I explained that I was researching other engines on my own and would like to take advantage of the battery replacement, but the customer service representative has refused to communicate since. At this point, my car has been sitting there for over a month. I have reported the engine repair issue to the Better Business Bureau, and my legal counsel is preparing a demand letter for the battery replacement. This experience has been unacceptable."

"Blair said my car is almost ready this Thursday or Friday after waiting a week it’s a very expensive fix after doing a full diagnostic on my car his Infiniti technician found the problem for my service engine light."

"If I was posting this review on Monday, I would have given a minus 1 star. But it was only because I was hot and miserable and didn't want to spend a lot of money. And Rene in the service dept. took the brunt of my tirade. I came in on Saturday for an oil change and it was really hot and my a/c wasn't that cold so I also paid for an AC assessment. And it came back that I was probably going to need a new compressor. I signed off on it. and went on my way. But the next time I drove my care on Monday it literally had NO AC and it was 119 another record breaker.I raced home and blew up Rene's phone. Rene kept his cool while I went off on him. My son in law is a service manager in Colorado and I hung up the phone with Rene called my son in law cuz I was convinced I was sabotaged. My daughter and Son in law laughed and laughed and told me to call Rene back. I had to eat crow on my tirade and groveled for forgiveness for being a REAL KAREN. The Epitome of my name. He was so kind and he funny. Well I just feel horrible i was ever rude with him because he is NOW my hero. I left this afternoon after getting a new air compressor the happiest person ever. My AC is ice cold. So Kudos to the whole service dept, and you have a real winner in RENE. He totally took care of me. The mechanic was epic in the fact that my car ac is ice cold in 119. But Rene had to put up with me. I will recommend Avondale Nissan every time. Thank you. I am a happy customer."

"I know the person who used this service department. Short version: unprofessional, rude, overpriced, and just a pure scamming on the service departments end! They were to figure out why the maintenance light was on so it would pass inspection. They had the vehicle for almost two months and nearly $10,000 later. He got his car back and now having to take it to another place and put out more money for something this department did not take care of. The owner could have bought a nicer car that didn't need work for all the money he spent here with terrible results! Shame on you Avaondale Nissan!!!"

"My last experience with Avondale Nissan Service was not the greatest. However I have two Nissan vehicles and decided to give them another chance. Of course I should have went with my instinct and went somewhere else. When I made the appointment, I was clear on the issues and that I had a vehicle warranty. The advisor ignored that point and scheduled an appointment. I was there over an hour and a half past my appointment time and they had not even taken my vehicle in to be diagnosed. Given the time that had lapsed, the fact they were aware that my warranty company was not open on the weekend and the rental car agency closed at noon which if I was given a rental car would have cost me out of pocket - I found their practices to be unethical. I waited almost 2 weeks for this appointment. Horrible customer service and communication. Save yourself the added stress and take your vehicle somewhere else."
