"Truly amazed how horrible they treat people once you sign a lease here. Terrible communication… barely any notice for inspections. Had a horrible renter next to me and the staff could care less. Told me not to worry about it and that they would move out in a few months (because they don’t care about you). They are charging way too much for such a terrible place. I thought I moved into a unit with no dogs but there are dogs everywhere barking throughout the day. Staff is extremely rude. You will make a maintenance request and unless you personally follow up with it, it will be ignored. You pay way too much for so little. The staff members are idiots who don’t know how to do their jobs properly. I used to be in property management and what I have seen completely blows my mind. Funniest part is your storage unit will be in front of someone else’s parking spot. Good luck trying to get things out of there when you need to. I told them how easy it would be to change that but they don’t care. Good luck getting barely 12 hour notices for your inspections sent via email!"

"The staff here are very friendly, especially David the painter! He is such a sweetheart! Apartments are well maintained and maintenance is very prompt. Such a beautiful and quiet location while also being located in such a great area."

"I had the pleasure of having David the painter fix my apartment. Initially, my apartment management requested him to fix the drywall by my patio door. However, David's service exceeded expectations. He was incredibly respectful of my home and belongings. When I mentioned my desire to touch up some scuff marks on other walls, he promptly offered to paint them, only asking for clear space to work. I marked three walls with post-it notes, and David worked with remarkable speed and precision. Not only did he flawlessly repair the drywall and address the marked areas, but he also went the extra mile, identifying and painting other areas showing wear and tear. Upon his departure, there was no evidence of his presence, except for the impeccable paint job, the expertly replaced drywall, and a thoughtful goodie bag. David's dedication and skill warrant recognition, and I believe he truly deserves a raise. David, you are exceptional! Keep up the fantastic work!"

"I am a long time resident (10+ years) and have loved living here. Office staff are so friendly and prompt and maintenance is quick and non disruptive. I have always felt safe and have never had any concerns about the grounds or neighbors. My car has never been broken into and I’ve never had a package stolen! Noise is not an issue even with how close to the beltline and park the property is. You do not hear it as much as you would think inside your unit. I really cannot imagine leaving Sauk Creek and would recommend living here to anyone looking for a place to settle and start a family or want to be close to everything the west side of Madison and downtown have to offer without having to actually LIVE downtown."

"Me and the fiancée have lived at Sauk Creek Apartments for almost 2 years now and are moving into our first house (one of the only reasons we would leave) in a few weeks. In our time there, we have never experienced a problem that wasn’t handled quickly and efficiently by management and maintenance staff (e.g. water hammer arrester for dishwasher needing to be replaced, closet door runner being adjusted, etc). The new(ish) property manager, Jessica, has been very easy to work with and responsive to questions and issues that we have had. Additionally, and mirroring other reviews (both positive and negative) the grounds are very well maintained and the neighbors are friendly and keep to themselves. I can’t say that the issues I’ve seen flagged in other reviews (pests, mold, heavy-handed management, etc) have ever been a problem for us during our time as tenants at Sauk Creek. Views from the covered balcony (we installed icicle lighting) below, which was always pleasant to have coffee and breakfast on in the morning and/or have a beer and read on in the evening. I would heartily recommend renting at Sauk Creek Apartments — it’s quiet, the neighborhood is safe and has many amenities (our building is adjacent to Sauk Creek Park), the neighbors are pleasant, and it’s a great value when comparing rents in most other parts of the city (we lived on the Isthmus before moving West)."
