"I stopped at the ACE on Cottage Grove Road to get a piece of glass for a shadow box. The box itself was broken and had been glued and stapled many times. The manager took it upon himself to create a brand new display case. He did this out of the kindness of his heart. I can’t thank him enough. This box has a special meaning for me and my family. It was my Dads medals from the time he was in the Navy aboard the USS Indianapolis."

"This store is very convenient for me and I was happy when we got our hardware store back. For the most part I still feel that way. However the customer service (weekends ) at the check out would almost be enough for me not to return. You should always be made to feel like your business is appreciated. When you are not greeted, thanked or spoken to at all you sure don’t feel that way. We’ve been small business owners and we’ve always stressed being friendly to customers. I realize some of these clerks are pretty young and new at customer service but it’s such a little thing to say “hi, are ya doing, thanks for coming in”. They are often the only encounter a customer has with the business. I write this because as an owner I’d want to know that I had some improving to do."
