Burkle and Main Apartments

"#303 was put on Airbnb by a "Mya", apparently without authority as it is not allowed to be sublet. I paid her, but on arrival could not stay due to the condition of the entire complex. She refused to refund and leasing office has been less than cooperative. As of 11/11/23, it is still being advertised on Airbnb."

"Dang these must be section 8 , lottery ticket entry , no locals can move in apartments?? Ain’t no way ya’ll been up since 2021 and I have yet been able to get somebody on the phone to see if I “qualify “ for a 2bedroom that’s crazy…"

"Hello All, The reasoning why I’m writing this post is that the leadership at this establishment is extremely faulty. I was told to bring my 6 pay stub, money order, and other fees. They ran my credit without my permission and they are very slow with the application process I gave them all of the needed criteria for the apartment and it has been over a month since I submitted they application. They also changed the apartment I wanted without any consideration of what I want. I also have very good credit and Miss. Alice. Moore said there is things on my credit that she did not like she also did not verify my employment and said that my pay stubs are fake. Honestly 10 out of 10 I would not recommend."

She was very swift and thorough with my paperwork. As a retired leasing manager for Memphis Housing Authority, I would say that the staff here does an excellent job."

"My experience with Burkle and Main was horrible! When I first applied online a woman named Mrs. Lynn from Nashville called me asking me for my information. When I gave her this information she explained to me that I qualified for a 2/3 bedroom. Mrs. Lynn than set me up for an appointment to go into the office. The day of my appointment Ms. Lisa was already trying to deny me before I even filled out anything on my application that was given to me. She told me because I was a full time student and my daughters were that I couldn’t apply. Come to find out she didn’t know what she was talking about. The other manager explained to her I could apply. Must I add she didn’t even have the information from my school yet. I was a part time student. Moving forward I had to go up there two different times to fill out different documents, information that could have been filled out the first time. After everything was complete they made it seem like all they had to do was turn in all my documents to their managers and that I would be approved. I called her a week and a half later only for her to tell me I was 41 dollars over and that I was denied. The whole process was a waste of time! Like others said, I’m not sure what their expecting you to make with having to pay $867 to $1000 dollars in rent!"
