Courtyard by Marriott Memphis Downtown

"Courtyard by Marriott is always been my go-to place in my travels several weeks a month. The service here is absolutely phenomenal. friendly, courteous and very clean. rooms are great. clean and the views are great. come enjoy yourself here. don't listen to the bad reviews that can keep you from enjoying yourself. some people you just can't make happy. thanks Marriott"

"Overall experienced sucked, from the check in to the check out. The guy working the desk didnt give a care in the world on getting people checked in, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable ever, the shower was gross and with the lights off there was a glow coming up from the drain, the attitudes around the place was something...definitely not going back there"

"Valet was $25.. yes I get that but its worth it. I even forgot my phone in the car after it was parked and they were amazing to go get it in the bitter cold. Issac and David especially. I unfortunately don't have all the names but all were wonderful. They even offered to unload and load my luggage."

"After checking in we was informed that the elevators was NOT working. So we had to take the stairs to get to our room. The stairwells look like they hadn't been clean in several years. Spiders webs was in EVERY corner. The lights fixtures was decorated by the spiders that lived in them.I have NEVER seen so many spider webs on a light fixture like that. And it was like that on EVERY level we had to walk up to get to our floor. After getting to our room we was welcome by the DUST on the TV, the console and the desk. So thoroughly cleaning I suppose is NOT a priority there!! The tv would constantly lose signal, the bed felt like cardboard was under the sheets. The ice machine was disgusting. No microwave. I'm not going to mention the problem with the valet service that I felt like I was forced to use. This overall experience ruined my trip. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone!!! I had reservation for 2 nights I only stayed 1. But I will say the lady at the front desk the day I checked out was really nice. The 2 stars I left for her."

"I cannot give enough thanks to the beautiful and wonderful people as a Marriott downtown as you know, I’m very harsh my reviews, but I have to say these people are above top-notch be that we’re having white trash night for my birthday. I needed a little help with that thrift store find Miss Lisa was more than happy to help me get zipped in my dress and trust me. It took a lot of work, but she took the time out to help me a room was clean. It was stocked front desk valet were wonderful. I cannot stress enough. This is the best place to stay downtown to stay dow."
