Van Vleet Flats Apartments

"Wonderful building and management! I've lived in the Van Vleet for three years and would have stayed indefinitely if a new job hadn't taken me out of Memphis. I loved my spot--spacious, huge windows, absurdly high ceilings, and in line with rent around downtown. Parking next door, but I rarely took my car out. Henry Turley Co. renovates their buildings with real care. I barely heard neighbors through concrete floors and thick walls. Downtown Memphis is Downtown Memphis, but watching people on the town from my windows and hearing the horse carriages play trap and soul music is part of the vibe. Good energy! The constant preventive maintenance and spraying meant I never saw any pests in the building (which is not taken for granted in any urban area, but especially Downtown Memphis). The people who maintain the building responded quick and professionally the few times I've had an issue. The leasing office has always been staffed by helpful and pleasant people. Really great management all around. I've relied on reviews as I begin my next housing search, so I wanted to leave a helpful one for this building. I'm very sad to be leaving my place here!"

"I looked at Van Vleet after unexpectedly losing my job working at an apartment complex nearby and having to move off property quickly. Hannah has been an absolute angel the entire time I have been in the process of getting ready to move in. As someone who used to work in the industry, I know I have been one of those annoying customers, and an absolute basket case with the job loss and move, but she has handled every question I have had with care, kindness, and an incredible amount of professionalism. On top of the apartment being BEAUTIFUL and in an amazing location with a great price point for all of that, I cannot wait to call Van Vleet my home!"

"If you're going to party downtown, might as well limit your parking and DUI risks! (NOTE: Being close to the party also means being close to the NOISE.) Some of the light switches are oddly placed in my unit, but the layout is spacious and great for entertaining. The staff has responded to all of my maintenance requests in 24 hours or less. There are cheaper places to live, but if you wanna be in the center of everything, you gotta pay...right?"

"Great place to live in the heart of downtown, and right above Tamp and Tap. One minute walk to Beale Street, next to Main, this place is perfect. High ceilings too."
