"Do not use Charles Dillard or Tropical Design Pools! Charles and his company are the worst contractor I have ever used. Tropical Design pools was contracted to install a new pool and cool deck for our new home on Lake Granbury. The entire project has been a total disaster. Broken pipes due to poor construction. Water was first noticed leaking 07/06/22. The leak was repaired on 10/26/22, almost five months after I notified Charles of the major water leak. Tropical pools cut a 5 ft by 2 ft hole in the deck to get to the broken pipes. At that time they also dug out all the miscellaneous fill items, like a huge What-a-Burger canvas bag filled with multiple large styrofoam cups, paper bags, more than forty condiment containers and un-eaten food. These items were located in the exact same hole the pipes broke. I have also located a metal gas can and more bottles than I care to count between the pool and the stone wall. Plenty of junk and absolutely no brick ties. The entire corner of the cool deck is moving because there is no foundation. The pipes will break again, and the 2 Ft by 5 Ft hole in my cool deck still exists today 01/11/2023. The sole piece of rebar is sticking up and is a safety hazard. Not to mention the guard rail was removed that keeps you from dropping off a 5 Ft wall. Again this is the worst contractor I have ever used in my forty years of doing business. Do not do business with Charles Dillard or Tropical Design pools!!"
