"Normally we don’t go out for breakfast at this Bakers Square but today we decided to give it a chance. After we sat down we noticed our waitress was flustered and we waited longer than normal to have our order taken but still we were happy to be spending time together at breakfast so thought nothing of it. We had the feeling that our waitress was overwhelmed because we felt like asking for simple things was “too much” and felt like a burden instead of guests. Our order came out missing items and when we tried to tell our waitress this, she continually ignored us until we got them corrected and by then we just wanted to leave. As senior citizens with chronic health issues I started to have pain in my legs and couldn’t bear sitting down anymore so we wanted to get the check so I could relax in my home and take medicine without being in public. This is where our experience here started to become unacceptable. We go out often to breakfast so we understand the rush of a restaurant but this environment felt chaotic without the restaurant being busy. We were flagging down our waitress so we could get the check and she would glance at us and turn the other way multiple times. It got to a point where we just needed to leave in order to alleviate my pain but we couldn’t do that without paying. Finally we stood up and waited at the register so that we could pay and leave. I stood there so long I couldn’t bear the pain anymore but sitting back down is hard for me and my joints and I just needed help from someone to pay and tip my server. There we had a run around from team members asking who our waitress was and where we were sitting. Gave them all the same answers but for 15 minutes no one could seem to figure out how to get us our check so we could settle it. The manager Chris came to ask what we could be helped with and we told him the same thing and he repeated the same questions back and that he could not help us and that our server needed to give us our check in order for us to leave. I became so frustrated I told him to take my money (which was double what should’ve been the check total) and keep the change because at this point I didn’t care about the money I just needed to get out of there from how much pain I was in. Our waitress came to the front and was clearly in distress and could not figure out what we had ordered or remembered where our check was. This is when I had to tell her exactly what we ordered so that she could write me a new check in that same moment. If only the other members or the manager Chris could have done the same thing 20 minutes ago I could have alleviated my pain sooner and left the restaurant. Instead we had to wait for over 20 minutes to leave an establishment with no professionalism or sense of urgency for their guests. As a manager I felt like Chris did not help me in the slightest and forgot his managerial responsibilities to help the customer when clearly his staff was stressed and overwhelmed and help was needed on both sides. What should have been something that really was NO issue at all became quite the ordeal and I will never be returning to this restaurant because of the way we were neglected and met with unprofessionalism. Have already send email to team for response- review sent from daughters google account dictated by mother."

"I came to enjoy a nice meal with my son and we had a great experience. Thanks to the waitress Jasline, she made our first time visit the best. I have never had such an amazing waitress in my life. She made me and son welcomed. Her customer service was excellent!! Definitely will come back and ask for her!!"

"My first time here, and I came due to a cat rescue that had set up with this restaurant to get a 20% kickback on orders for the day. I rate that high for any establishment who makes an effort to help out. When I arrived it was about 30 minutes after they had opened, so it was not busy for a Monday morning at 10:30 am. I stood at the front waiting to be seated for awhile. Not sure where everyone was, but was able to read the entire menu and still was waiting. Finally someone realized I was standing there. Was seated and put my order right in. Food came fast and hot. Servings were a nice amount. My scramble had a choice of English muffin, toast, buttermilk pancakes, and I think something else? I picked the English muffin. Waitress was very friendly and checked on me a couple of times. Paid for my breakfast at my table, which is always a plus. Restaurant was sort of clean, I was surprised to see small bits of paper and food on the carpet, like someone never got around to vacuuming? I never checked out the bathroom for cleanliness. I hear they have good pies, but was to full to try any or take home this trip. I will probably come back at some point in the future because the food was good and so was my waitress, but the place didn't make it for my normal 5 stars across the board. To bad, it definitely has the ability to do so. Maybe an off day?"

"One of the few that is still standing by the suburb area. I remember this place everywhere, and one by one, they're permanently gone. I came here to pick up some pies, and this place is not busy at all. It looks dead if I'm being honest. Anyway, pie prices have gone up a bit (but like everyone else nowadays), each around $20 or so. I haven't been in this place for a long time, and I just found out they have stopped selling seasonal pies and only have the basic/regular kind available. I hope they stay in business as their pies are good, especially during the holidays."
