"I've waited nearly a year to repost this. There were multiple issues with this apartment complex. I will say, the property manager, Lori, when I first moved in was helpful and nice. I heard many horror stories about her from all of my neighbors, but I had no reason to complain. After I moved in, about 2 weeks, there was an issue with mice or rats. Not sure which. About 2 months into my lease the pipes began leaking to the unit below mine. This issue was not rectified for 2 weeks. All the while, the maintenance man, extremely nice guy ,was not able to find the actual leak, I had holes in my walls and holes in the laundry area. Shouldn't be such a big deal - but it didn't help the mice/rat issue. A couple months go by the holes in my wall in my bedroom were fixed, but not the laundry area. My boyfriends daughter wanted to move in. I informed Lori, paid for her dogs fee (in increments throughout my lease). When it came time to move out I paid to have a professional come in and clean the carpets, the walls to make sure I received my deposit back. Of course, I was refused. I was told that due to having a dog they had to replace the carpet. That's understandable, but I believe the pet deposit should have covered the carpet cost. When mentioned Lori began to show her snippy side. I requested to receive a copy of the receipts and at that time was told I would have to speak to their lawyer to receive them. Of course this tactic worked as at the time, I was not aware of renters rights. However, thanks to this experience I have read the laws surrounding being a renter in texas. If you do decide to live here, make sure you know your rights."

"First this place is called Montierra Ranch. I used to love this apartment when I first moved in. As long as you do exactly what the owner and property manager says, you will be ok. They are very money hungry and do not follow their lease ever. Everybody has different rules and none of it is on the lease. As soon as you bring it up or question them, they will do whatever they can to get you out of here. Lori is the property manager and rude as can be. I am not the only one to think this. She dislikes women and treats them horribly. I have been here for quite a few yrs. With no issues on my end but I have made several complaints against them. There is only an issue now (starting in july) when I brought them dr. Notes and I formation regarding an emotional support dog. I was denied unless I paid $750 for my emotional support dog, signing a new contract and also making sure he was a specific size. I tried to communicate to her and the owner Dacx regarding this issue but I just got yelled at treated horribly. I was told I was faking it and I dont look like I suffer from disabilities. I was told after getting yelled at and crying everything was fine, but later found out lori and dacx made false violations against my lease, took photos that have nothing to do with me, denied me maintenance services, told me to suffer, which I have all on emails, voicemail, recordings, ect. And gave me diff rules and told me lies...And now when I had 0 issues in the past to all of this in July til now... suddenly am not allowed to renew my lease. These landlords have discriminated, retaliated and harassed me. I have proof of other tenants that they denied as well and treated poorly. If you are thinking of living here... BEWARE! my unit is awesome. I took care of it the last almost 4 yrs. I made so many upgrades and repairs and even sealed my apt. Bc of all the cig smoke in this "non smoking" building. I have the best neighbors anyone could have asked for. They all loved me and I have letters to show for that too. Im going to miss them.. but Dacx and Lori are horrible and I would not pay them a dime to live here."
