"My family and I stopped into the State Street locationof Car X in bettendorf last week. We were on our way out of town at about 5:45 pm. Our tire ended up having a nail in it. The technicians had gone home just a bit before we showed up. Jason fixed our tire and got us on the road within 15 minutes. We are grateful that he was there and was able to help us. Great attitude, very friendly and incredible service. Highly recommend!"

"I had a nail in my tire, they got me in quick and a great experience at first. However, after 15 minutes maybe a district manager came in. He was rude and very unfriendly. But he started talking to what I assume is the store manager, the female who answered the phone when I first called. It got somewhat tense between the two. She ended up spending the next 30 minutes complaining on the phone to various people, how under paid she is, store restructuring, how she turned down 4 district positions prior and there’s no transparency etc… She was very loud so all the customers could clearly hear her. She also complained to other workers there about this person who showed up. I ended up waiting 10 more minutes while my truck was parked outside running with the keys in it…because she wouldn’t come to the front desk. I will say what I assume was the mechanic was great and very nice and also maybe the assistant manager (a male working front desk who came in about 45 minutes during my wait). Overall it was a very uncomfortable experience sitting there for an hour + listening to the griping of how bad the company is."

"We have used this shop multiple times and have always been very happy, but this time they went over the top with service. I purchased a new battery across the road at Auto Zone, but they do not install. I took the car and battery to Car-X, no appointment, no notice. With less than five-minutes-wait, the Technician went to work swiftly and efficiently. He installed the battery and cleared the Check Engine codes, all related to the faulty battery. When he finished, I said "Let's go inside so that I can pay." His reply was, "No Charge." That is service! I am a fan for life!"

"Realized I had a taillight that was out and called to see if they could fit me in on a Friday morning to replace it. They told me to swing by, did the work in under 15 minutes, and didn't even charge me because it was such an easy fix. I was so impressed with their kindness."
