"Sooo there is a unit available, we showed up to see it. The guy was smoking inside the apartment we were potentially trying to rent. The stench was very strong, it didn’t sit right with us that they did not keep it clean for potential tenants. We did apply regardless because we would be having the laundromat in front of our place, however the laundromat seemed to have old appliances. The laundromat had the cigarette stench all over it as well. Did not refund our app fee. He wanted to charge us 225 for the rest of the month because he wanted us to move in immediately. Plus a pet fee plus deposit $450. Plus rent starting the month of July. It was overwhelming and it seems overall that we dodged a bullet."

"After paying on time, kept the contract for a year and advised a month in advance that we were moving out. The owner requested the keys on last month...keep in mind last month was already paid, so he could check and listed it up. We still had all our belongings in the apartment. Obviously he didn't want to return our deposit and made up an excuse that we were breaking contract which wasn't true. Also said we were the only tentants that complained of the maintenance issues. If he would actually check the apartment before renting them we would've not bothered him at all. For example the boiler was old and wasn't working any more..it was causing water leaks. AC and boiler didn't have pvc trap and would cause a smell in the apartment. Then we had mold on the restroom ceiling, one of the "maintenance workers" cut in a rectangular piece leaving it open. When the worker was using the burner to weld the copper pipe he burned our shower curtain. The man doesn't hire professional maintenance people, all the "maintenance people "would use OUR STUFF instead of having their own equipment. DONT RENT HERE you'll be charged for application not refunded deposit and receive excuses. Amenities not cleaned and not fully working."

"& again she asks about the keys which I explained again he never gave me the replacement keys & im not gonna give him money for something he “kept forgetting” to give me. while we were moving stuff to our new place my cousin told me that a friend of hers went to go check out the apartments & the owner told him to go to the apartment knock to see if someone was there if not to just walk in, her friend when on by saying that someone was definitely moving out with everything that was in the living room getting ready to leave so I DONT DOUBT THAT THE OWNER TOLD HIM TO WALK IN WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION & it was me & our downstairs neighbor that we’re moving out but they were long gone by then! DONT RENT HERE OTHER TENANTS THAT LIVED THERE ALSO TOLD ME HES VERY VERY CORRUPTED!"

"I lived here for exactly a year. It seemed like a decent space, but unfortunately likes fixing things the cheap way so i was always having problems with the AC, with leaks coming in from the top floor, with plumbing, door knobs, I also found some weird "splash of blood" on the corner of one of the ceiling and the owner kept saying it was rust. In the process of moving in the owner was going to turn the apartment in to me with the restroom very dirty. Like, he had not even had the apartment fully cleaned and he was already giving me the keys. I also had to force him to rekey the apartment because he wanted to give me some worn obviously not new keys. I'm thinking the tenant had just moved out that morning. He charged 600 deposit, i did my part- i kept my contract, always paid on time, reported maintenance issues quickly, gave a 30 day notice, and turned my unit in clean. Guy still kept my deposit SMH"
