"The room was ok at the price we paid. There was an unpleasant smell in the hallway of the 2nd floor but the room itself smelled fine. There was no Wi-Fi in our room halfway down the hall on the second floor, though it worked fine in the lobby. We checked in at 2:30 PM and were told that there was a $28.50 surcharge for early check-in, though it would be waved, "just this once, but not again". When I was presented with the room agreement for a signature, I noticed there was a $2.50 fee buried in the agreement for the room safe, though if it remained unused a credit could be requested upon checkout. There was no verbal mention of the charge and though the fee was small, it felt like an unnecessarily petty attempt to gain an extra small fee. I did request the refund and was told it should be refunded to my card with 5-7 business days. There was coffee in the room and lobby, but no breakfast, which was expected at the budget price. There's a Whataburger right next door, and an easy 4-5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is an easy hop on/hop off from I-35 and just a few minutes from anywhere in town."

"We found a cockroach under our blanket when we arrived. The towels still had hair on them from someone's shave. The room made us feel like we should sleep with our clothes on and not leave anything on the floor. The cherry on top was being charged $25 for checking out at 1120am instead of 11am...will not be returning."

"Old dirty hotel with no fridge, charging station, coffee maker, and phone didn't even work. Called for an extra pillow and was told they have none. This is an extremely basic hotel with no frills. Internet service lasted about an hour then was out for the rest of the evening. Won't be staying here again."
